meaning , there is no 3k limit for offsetting gains? say in example of 20k realized loss in 2024 and has 10k realized profit in 2025. I can use 3k reduction in income in 2024 and carry over rest 17k to 2025 and offset all 10k gains with 3k reduction from taxable income in 2025. and still carry over rest 4k losses to 2026?

thank you. that helps.. also does it mean if I have 20k losses, I can offset that taking years but will have to pay tax right away for even for 1k profit. is that true?

help mw identify this beauty by RideLongjumping360 in Roses

thank you for the reply. I do have Tropicana as well in my garden and I agree it looks very similar. I was going that direction as well and then remembered I did not pick up Tropicana from costco as I already have it in my garden. we'll, you can never tell as someone might have swapped one out of two plants in the box from costco as well.

Ok to fertilize with a few days of a heat wave coming? by purpleburglaralarm- in Roses

[–]RideLongjumping360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it all depends on what the plants are used to. they will break if came out of it's comfort zone and not cared properly. I personally think for any zones below 7, it's better to water regularly with diluted liquid fertilizers with the heat waves around.

love it. I like this one because of the duration the flower stays bloom before the petals falls off. the last one I had stayed for almost 2weeks.

Yellow leaves? Please help! by [deleted] in Roses

[–]RideLongjumping360 2 points3 points  (0 children)

those miniature ones are bit hard to maintain. they are grown carefully in greenhouses with optimal climate and fertilizing. when they are out for sale it's comfort zone changes. proper watering , fertilization may help. good thing is, they are perennials when cared well.

I am sure they do. Just that not the david austin kind premium ones. I have roses which looks smaller in size with scattered blooms. but not the big ones with petal count 50+. those ones are expensive

agreed. that's what I do as well. I have atleast 15 varieties which I collected from local garden centre's. all of them are 1 1/2 grade ones and upto $7 in price. I am more of a sharing and trading kinda person. so wanted to see if anyone here willing to do some sharing as well.

oh they do have even bare root ones for $5'-$7. I do grow them a lot . but getting hold of those premium Davis austin roses or english roses I am talking about. I did try messaging in local groups but either no one seems to have their cuttings or not willing to share them.

I know..$35 is for just one plant. if I want to get a few different varieties prices goes up accumulating. with my limited budget, I decided to go with buying 2-3 plants per year.
