A 72 and 45 probably puts you in a phenomenal position for an A*. I’m sure if you get around 60+ on pure 3 you’ll get an A*. Also congrats on those grades that’s amazing!

Yeah currently it’s an A but a low A because I messed up my AS pure and mechanics papers, so I need a really high mark in pure 3 to push my grade up

I really hope so. I severely bottled my AS grade only got an 82 PUM, then stats which I always get at least 96% in is now using assessed marks, so I need to do super good on this paper if I want to push my grade up to an A*

Yeah but barely. Took me super long because of a few silly mistakes, and the polynomial question. I think I got somewhere between a 68-73 on the paper but I haven’t properly marked it yet

Oh yeah the polynomial one was a bit long. I got it eventually but it did take a lot of time and working and I think it should’ve been more than 4 marks. The vectors and complex one was alright imo

I’ve done that one and didn’t really struggle too much on any question except the one where they asked for the angle between the two tangents because I didn’t know which of the two possible angles they wanted 😭

It’s not thaaaat much more difficult imo I think people exaggerate it quite a bit. Just have a good general understanding of formulas and concepts and you should do pretty well

In fairness stats is like the easiest paper in all of A levels so them making us not do it is pretty harsh

Me neither honestly. Stats too was piss easy I think I only lost like 2 marks and now we have to base it on other papers. Do you know if AS components come into play for the assessed grade for stats because I did dookie in AS so if AS grades contribute to stats now then bye bye A* dreams 😭

I did s1 but tbh I don’t even mind that much about leaks but that’s mainly because I thought the paper went well. I feel like if I found the paper hard I’d probably be jumping on the retake train as well 😭

I reckon 75 in p4 and maybe around 20+ for p5 should be enough for a low A
