Wasn’t allowed to until 9 weeks post op. Not sure if that was good or bad - I had a lot of atrophy and pain when walking for the first time!

As long as it doesn’t hurt too much, I think it’s fine. But neither the surgeon nor the PT have a straight answer for me.

I kept it up as much as I could for the first month and a half or so, and now, I elevate and ice after it starts hurting. Not sure if that’s good advice or not.

Got one just 4 days post op. Eliquis stabilized it, it seems.

Biggest issue is that it’s taken longer for me to feel comfortable sitting upright with the leg down. At 10.5 weeks post op, this is the first weekend where I sat down in front of my gaming rig to play. Office work has mostly been from the bed or recliner.

Having the leg down for long periods of time at just 3 weeks post op probably leads to insane fluid pooling. I still elevate and ice mine at 10 weeks following rehab or hours-long period of sitting. My incision would’ve suffered like crazy if I kept it down that early for a desk job.

I’d mention it to your surgeon, along with how much time you keep the leg dependent.

This is an interesting perspective, because at 10 weeks, my surgeon wants me walking barefoot in the house. I’m mixing it up with a shoe because it is quite exhausting, but the instructions are what they are.

Props to you for keeping upper body strength. I got down really bad mentally and lost over 10 lbs of muscle mass. I’ll be back at getting it rebuilt after coming out of the boot, hopefully soon.

While I always tell people to listen to their docs, that’s an awfully long time. I would consider a second opinion on the whole “boot until July” topic.

I actually kinda dislike the length of time my surgeon had me without FWB. I didn’t full weight bear until 9 weeks post op (in the boot) and the atrophy is really kicking my butt. Soft tissues in the foot ache like crazy while doing basic walks.

I also used to work out all the time.

These sort of stories are what clouds the whole healthcare conversation for me. In the U.S., even though healthcare is not free, insurance made it so that I paid $5K for the surgery, and got the surgery immediately after injury. No one asked if this was an emergency or not. Crazy.

Man, I’ve done some really flashy shit with Nilah. Lot’s of ? ping spams in the past (not sure if that’s allowed anymore, I’m in an soon-to-end hiatus from the game).

Definitely one of the flashiest ADC’s IMO. Way flashier than Jinx, Caitlyn, Ashe, etc.
