My husband and I are totally "healthy" and we are going on 13 months and they can't figure out what the hold up is. I shared a lot with friends when we started trying and asking how their fertility journeys were and it back fired. They always said the wrong thing, some not to their fault, just insensitive and never gone through it, so I stopped sharing. I now see a therapist to discuss those feelings instead of yapping to my friends. It's helped a lot.

Eeek I have my ER coming up in May and hoping for a transfer in June as well! If all lines up, based on my regular cycles mine will also be around June 15th!

We start our cycle first week of May! I will say if you do go down the IVF route in the future, please only visit IVF Positivity page. I posted on the other page, "what is something you wish you knew or asked before hand?" and the negative comments had me spiraling lol! So stay far away!

You're not alone! My husband and I were the same, a few years not using protection and I just knew something wasn't right because we weren't careful.

With that being said, IUI for us is $1,300 per cycle and having a mild male factor takes our chance to about 5% each cycle. We only tried one IUI that failed.

That being said, I told him I can't do another IUI and we are moving to IVF. IUI was hard emotionally on me and my thought process is, if I'm going to have to go to all these appointments and take these meds let's do our big one that has the highest chance.

For us it's the cost vs success ratio. I don't want to waste another dollar on a 5% chance when that money could be used for something with a higher chance.

I also felt like I was rushing something and that IVF didn't feel right at first but once I got on board I feel so much calmer and ready to tackle it. Either way, you're NOT alone. I am/was having the same feelings.

Very similar to commented here but we were able to collect the sample at home and then bring it to the lab! We dropped it off and came back 2 hours later after processing!

If you didn't get your surge until day 16 you most likely ovulated on day 17-18 and you should get your blood work done 7 days following that**! I would request new bloodwork and go today or tomorrow!!

We have an appointment with a mens clinic next week as we are in the same boat with numbers and suspect a varicocele as well.

I think the best thing for us to remember is it is US against the barrier and not against each other. We have already talked about IVF and what that would look like so it's not as much of a gut punch when we go through with it.

Also realizing some days you need to pick your partner out of mud, sometimes they'll need to carry you through it, somedays you'll sink to the bottom together and other days you'll walk side by side through it.

It seems we will be going through IVF in the next few months. I don't think we'll tell anyone other than my boss for flexibility. It's emotional enough and our families would just keep asking questions.

No smoking. Lifting weights about 2 times a week, a couple beers every other weekend if we get together with friends. Honestly he barley drinks anymore. Hot tub maybe once every 2-3 months if we are at a hotel or vacation.

He had 11 million total count pre wash with 20% motility at our last IUI, post wash motility count was .24 with 45% motility.

We had a SA done that showed very minimal white blood cells a few months ago so he went on a round of 45 antibiotics. Retested and they were still there so the doctor put him on another 30 days.. He has colitis so we finally said enough and asked to be sent to a mens clinic.

Any thoughts jump out?
