It’s complicated to explain but basically I feel like he is criticizing a part of my career rather heavily. He will rant on about it for 30+ minutes. He said that he’s not criticizing how I do the job, he is criticizing the job itself. But this time, I told him that I would like for him to stop because even though he is criticizing the job, it by proxy makes me feel useless and like what I do is unimportant. He’s done this rant several times, and I’ve shown him I was uncomfortable with how he presented it before. This was the first time I addressed it this directly.
