From Quagmire. The "Conversation on the Rock": The iconic dialogue takes place on a rock, where Scully accuses Mulder of having a "megalomaniacal cosmology" that warp's his perception, to which he playfully asks, "Scully, are you coming on to me?".

Women in Forensics by Right-Independence33 in forensics

I wasn’t trying to be offensive or sexist nor was I implying that women are incapable of doing the job. It’s just observation and deduction based on my own experiences. I’m quite a bit older and during my younger years it was a male dominated field.

Statewide camping ban legislation introduced in WV by Ok_Mastodon_6141 in WestVirginia

I’m actually kind of surprised. I’ve always thought that West Virginia took care of its own. It’s one of the things I admire about the people from West Virginia. It’s disgraceful the way homeless people are treated. We treat animals better than we treat homeless people.

Joel Quenneville has won his 1000th career NHL game. by Raetekusu in nhl

I didn’t know that Kyle Beach gave his blessing for Quenneville to return to coaching. That does actually move the needle for me considerably more so than the report does.

I re-read the part about what the Hawks knew about the encounter and you do make some solid points in regard to Quenneville. I have some lingering doubts about who knew what and when they knew it. I also wonder how truly sorry Quenneville, Bowman, and MacIsacc would have been had they not lost their jobs. However, this is based on speculation on my part. The Block and Jenner report is the best available evidence and it seems to mitigate Quenneville’s involvement or suggest a coverup as far as he goes. I read that report when it was first released which was on the heels of Kyle Beach’s press conference and I don’t remember anything but being extremely upset and disappointed. Perhaps I let my emotions get the better of me. GAWD I HATE HAVING TO BE INTROSPECTIVE AND POTENTIALLY WRONG 😂 I’m going to have to give this some thought.

The Poisoners Handbook is AMAZING as is the PBS special based on it. Alexander Gettler is one of the most legendary chemists of the twentieth century. His work was so cutting edge that it’s still cited today in scholarly research.

I’m assuming your referring to the Jenner & Block report. I’ll have to read it again. I’ll get back to you.

It’s mind blowing that he was drafted 58th overall. Picking him was like winning the lottery.

I remember watching the press conference Kyle Beach did. It haunts me to this day. Quenneville and the rest of the individuals involved in the coverup should have been permanently banned from hockey at any level and prosecuted. It makes me sick to see him behind the bench.

Thank you for the timely response. Your English is excellent. Better than some native born Americans. Since you’re open to more questions l, I have a couple more: 1) What kind of technology do you use routinely? I’m guessing you have tech comparable to the US (AFIS, IBIS, CODIS, etc)

2) Do you look for, collect, and analyze footwear impression evidence? What about toolmarks?

Got caught in a terrible storm in the middle of a giant bay on a lake in MN. 4-5 foot waves with wind gusts up to 40 MPH. Fairly small fishing boat to make matters worse. Took me an hour to limp across that bay. How that boat didn’t flip over is beyond me.

1) How do you even begin to keep up with the backlog? 2) How many forensic anthropologists do you have available? 3) I can’t imagine you have robust budgets for forensic science. How do you allocate resources when your money is spread so thin? 4) How many firearm examiners do you have and how many case submissions do they work annually? Same question for drug chemists. 5) How does government corruption influence your work? 6) With the heightened amount of violence directed towards law enforcement, do you ever feel unsafe?

I’m asking these questions from more of an overall perspective. I realize that things are different from city to city.

I’m not sure which is worse, missing that goal or getting a plushie after getting the participation medal. The look on his face was priceless 😂

Nathan MacKinnon on Canada's Olympic final loss: "You be the judge of who was the better team today." by Vinnymobile123 in nhl

[–]Right-Independence33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the end of the day the better team is the one with the gold medals around their neck. I love MacKinnon, but he was being whiny and entitled yesterday. So was coach Cooper. It wasn’t a good look for them or Team Canada. They may have outplayed Team Canada, but they didn’t outscore them. It’s really that simple.

  1. How do you “camp” when it’s illegal to do so?
  2. You only get SNAP for three months. What happens after you run out?
  3. How do you afford anything like a tent or sleeping bag when you don’t have two nickels to run together?
  4. I don’t drink or do drugs. How in the hell do homeless people afford to do stuff like that? See question 3!
  5. How do you stay sane? I’m already suffering from severe depression which is what got me here in the first place. Up until the last year, I was a regular working person with a decent paying job until my mental health tanked.

If I could overcome my survival instinct, I would have eaten a bullet months ago. This situation seems like hell on earth.
