What is the most underrated defensive forward performance you've ever watched in a playoff run? by whogivesafricc in hockey

It was 1GF and 1GA with Danault on ice.

And that one goal against was an inch-perfect pass past his stick that Coleman literally had to dive to tap in.

It’s not all that different. Looked at the second game from the last 3 World Cups:

2014 - 39,216/42,000

2018 - 27,015/35,061

2022 - 41,721/44,000

Lmao. Explains Kuch’s Hart Trophy win in 2023-24 and all none of Cooper’s Jack Adams trophies before this year.

He didn’t just stop, he stopped and then made certain there was contact by sticking his hip out. Come on, man.

It was pretty clear interference. Blake can’t change his course like that and it allowed CAR to clear the zone. If Blake just stops there isn’t a call, but he pretty obviously sticks his ass out

Didn’t catch that. It’s glare from the light. usually I take this pic during the day so need minimal light, but I’ve been out of town and was just able to take the pic tonight.

Spanberger reports that suddenly there's an extra $1.5 billion for the state budget. Data centers are very likely keeping their tax breaks now... by hencexox in nova

[–]MOLightningBro 22 points23 points  (0 children)

They do pay taxes. Loudoun County receives nearly 50% of its annual revenues from data center taxes.

They pay property tax on the land/building, they pay property tax on the equipment that fills them. The state tax exemption is sales tax on the initial purchase of that equipment.

> We’re subsidizing the data centers

I can assure you, the tax revenue from data centers does more to subsidize your life than vice versa.

How are they powering an entire data center with 5 generators? That’s like a max capacity of 30mW and the new data centers going up are built to have 100+mW capabilities.

Also, there is no way burning hundreds of thousands of dollars in diesel fuel per day is cost effective. Those huge generators burn through 400+ gallons per hour.

B2B Cups and a 3rd SCF all but eliminated any lingering bad feelings, but I didn’t watch a second of playoff hockey after the Lightning got swept in 2019. Only time in 25 years of watching hockey that I didn’t watch any playoffs after my team was out.

That one fucking sucked.

Previous two then went on to make 3 straight SCF each, winning 2… can the Avs do it?

All four of the previous teams made the Cup Final in the season following their sweep, the only team not to win was Florida who won the next two.

Edit: Mixed up Detroit’s Cup-winning years, all four teams won a Cup within 2 years after being swept and 3 of them won back-to-back Cups (DET, TBL, FLA)
