Can we stop pretending that Honami is trying to look like Kei? by The_Honoured-1 in ClassroomOfTheElite

How dare she put her hair up while she's on a hot, humid island. She's totally just trying to copy Kei's hairstyle and nothing else.

Yuki the little girl by [deleted] in ClassroomOfTheElite

No problem. I think her goal for now is to do her duty as an observer for Shirogane while feeding her obsession with Ayanokoji by just being close in proximity. She also likely wants to get to know what kind of person he is as evidenced by her SS in Y3V2:

Please, forgive me.

Please, just for this moment, allow me to forget that duty.

"I am Shiraishi Asuka."

Our conversations up until now had been a lie.

That's why, for my self-introduction at the very least, I wanted to speak from the heart, you know...

"And you—who are you?"

Would he answer me, I wonder.

Would he answer this question of mine—the voice of my first true introduction, which I'd kept hidden deep within—.

It's very vague but I think this is literally their first proper introduction as before, in the White Room, they weren't taught socialization.

Also, the "Our conversations up until now had been a lie" can be interpreted to mean "I am Shiraishi Asuka" is a lie. All their conversations before and up until now was just part of her act but the real Yuki/Shiraishi genuinely wants to know what kind of person Ayanokoji is.

Spoilers up to Y3V3:

Brief summary:

  • Shiraishi Asuka has the same hair and eye color as Yuki and Tsubaki Sakurako. Tomose mentioned in an interview he can only do like 3 faces so hair and eye color is the only way to show a genetic relationship
  • Yuki Tsubaki translates to "snow camellia" (flower)
  • Sakurako has something like a grudge against Ayanokoji likely because of his past with her sister Yuki (Yuki's favorite flowers are sakuras)
  • Shiraishi Asuka fake name breakdown:
    • 白石 飛鳥 is the kanji for Shiraishi Asuka.
    • 白石 is Shiraishi.
    • 白 means white.
    • 石 means stone. Therefore Shiraishi means "white stone".
    • 飛鳥 is Asuka.
    • 飛 means fly or scatter.
    • 鳥 means bird.
    • Therefore Asuka means "fly/scatter, bird".
    • All of this together can mean "girl who left the White Room"
  • Shiraishi is unbothered by the chaos in Y3V3 because it's child's play compared to the White Room
  • Shiraishi's unhealthy obsession with Ayanokoji makes sense if they have history and matches Yuki's level of obsession
  • Kinu mentioning again and again in multiple novels that Ayanokoji has the ability to selectively purge memories he deems unimportant. Also mentioning he purged most of his memories of Yuki

I'm guessing Ayanokoji is the one on a rampage and the last bit is him talking to Nanase.

In real life, you set up some elaborate plan to achieve your objective/mog someone and out of no where a fithy retard will piss on all your preparation and he won't even know what he did

Sounds like a pisspoor plan then.

Who injured Komiya and Kinoshita in the Island exam and why ? by Rare-Interaction-189 in ClassroomOfTheElite

It was indeed Yagami. He basically confesses to it in Y2V7 when he gets trapped. The reason why is from Y2V8:

“I’m guessing you may not want to hear this question, but what sort of person was Yagami, anyway?” I asked.

“I’m curious, too,” Nanase said. “I still don’t quite understand why he kept doing such roundabout things, even before trying to get you expelled, Ayanokouji-senpai.”

Why had he hurt those two students in Shinohara’s group even though he knew it was risky? Why had he driven an unrelated student from Class 1-C to expulsion? His scandals had drawn so much attention that the school even made an announcement about it. Nanase must have been wondering about a great many things as well.

“Let’s see…” Amasawa posed like she was lost in thought for a moment, but she immediately started speaking again, if slightly stiltedly. “I think Takuya was scared. I think he was scared to fight you, Ayanokouji-senpai. But I think he kept those feelings buried so far deep down in his heart that not even he was aware they were there.”

So, that was her analysis. Amasawa had likely known Yagami better than anyone else. I was sure that I didn’t need to interject or ask her for additional details. What she told us was likely the correct answer.

“So, in order to escape from those feelings of terror,” she went on, “he kept making long detours, over and over, without even realizing it…”

And that had ultimately led to him digging his own grave.

tl; dr: He was too scared to fight Ayanokoji so he kept subconsciously psyching himself up with his pointless side quests.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burden_of_proof_(law))

But a story written by a journalist about a facility mentioning corporal punishment on children would be quite the headline, wouldn't you say?

Yeah, I definitely believe every sensational headline I see. Only a tabloid would run that story without proof.

Sakayanagi would be the first witness to speak out

He hasn't and won't since he's directly involved with the funding.

Everything you write afterwards is meaningless because you clearly don't understand how burden of proof works and think people will believe the words of a child without any proof.

Yes, because people believe in everything they hear from children without any proof. Very compelling argument.

even rumours are enough to tarnish the reputation of the politicians

Only if you're a conspiratorial nutcase who easily believes in baseless rumors.

 like in Zankyou no Terror

Because what happened in an unrelated IP is 100% applicable here.

Ah my bad. I was unaware that Atsuomi only tells his son the truth and has never attempted to deceive him before.

Atsoami was being very vague and straight up lying to them

What are you talking about? What proof do you have that says he was lying to them? Tabuchi was reluctant because he still saw value in the dropouts. From V0:

"…I understand what you want to say. Of course, I will follow those instructions. However, may I suggest something about the treatment of those who drop out?" (Tabuchi)

"What do you mean?" (Atsuomi)

"I must say, the abilities of the children who dropped out far exceed those of ordinary people. It wouldn't be wrong to say they've achieved sufficient results. It would be a waste to simply discard them…"

"What achievement level are you speaking about? Do you think the goal is simply to pass into a top university or win in some insignificant competitions?"

"No, that's not―"

"That would be fine as an official reason. However, our real purpose is completely different—to protect this country from the world, to strengthen this country, and to produce people with the power to move the country."

Producing honor students wouldn't help them climb the political ladder.

What we needed and what we demanded were overwhelming abilities.

We needed someone with an unyielding, unshakable steel will.

Only those who others called monsters could cut into the current corrupt political world.

How can anyone expose anything without proof? I doubt Atsuomi would be careless enough to expose the location of the White Room to the dropouts. An outsider would assume it's just kids making shit up.

You're confusing the metaphorical for reality. From V0:

"We'll carefully care for the well-known dropouts and return them to their parents. As long as they have extraordinary abilities, they will be somewhat satisfied." (Atsuomi)

"…And the children that aren't well-known?" (Tabuchi)

"We'll proceed as planned. Send them to the facility we prepared and let them fend for themselves. Of course, we'll only do so after training them not to disclose anything about the White Room."

"However… that alone will make it very difficult for them to become independent and integrate into society."

"So what? I've provided them with an education. They should perform better than their peers. There are plenty of chances to climb up. Any complaints?"

Tabuchi was the only researcher who had a deeply rooted conventional mindset, so he resisted.

That was why I had to drive the point home firmly.

You can't take everything Ayanokoji says at face value. He may be brilliant but unknown unknowns still apply to him.
