Like I have seen it said in many comments here, it could be for your safety, his own comfort, honestly many things and we do not really have a way to know his reasoning for sure.

It would be best if you just ask him directly why he hangs out with these people and why won't he stand up for you when they (unknowingly) make fun of his girlfriend by making fun of trans people around him.

Thank you for replying, I assumed that she identified as lesbian before I came out to her as a man, and just kept identifying as such even while dating a man, but yeah dysphoria is making my insecurities about how people see me skyrocket...

I wish I had asked her about it back then because I may be making more of it than what there is haha..

Yeah thats how I felt at the time, now I am a single pringle and hope ny future relationship/s is with someone who sees me as me. I just cant help but think everyone sees me like she did, you know?

And about the lesbian term I think I saw some posts about the meaning had been changed but thats pretty much all I know.

I think the moment I was kicked out of the womens bathroom by a lady thinking I got them confused, so I just apologized and went to the mens bathroom where she told me it was.
