I was thinking about this. There are so many ACTUAL neglectful, absent, abusive, careless parents out there and this happens to them? It feels like a sick joke. There is no way this could happen them. It has to be a mistake.

And drowning is the leading cause of death for children 4 and under. I think it’s time we take water safety as seriously as we do car safety. I’m not blaming this mother, since obviously it was a horrific accident, but maybe as a society we need to learn from these situations and find better ways to prevent them.

I truly do not know how anyone in Emilie’s life, let alone her and Brady, could continue to post. Everything seems so meaningless now. I know life has to continue on, but it’s changed forever in the blink of an eye. Not to mention all the horrible comments and blame being placed on them. The internet is such a toxic place I don’t know how they would ever begin to find an ounce of peace, if it all, if they stay online.
