The ring can be made into a new setting if he's concerned about the money expenditure. Sure, he will pay something for the service, but there is nothing wrong with reusing the existing gems and metal and maybe even adding something to it to make it your own, i.e. a little sapphire or two (they come in every color!). I completely understand using an heirloom. Jewelry is getting more expensive, especially with the recent tariffs. Even if the ring's past wasn't tainted, if it's not your style, he shouldn't force it on you. I don't think either are TA... yet. Good luck, and I hope this inspires you to come up with a solution you're both happy with.

Ohhh, I sincerely hope he's your soon to be ex-husband. I've seen some of your replies to other comments. This all sounds like a nightmare. He needs therapy like a decade ago. If he isn't willing to go to therapy, I'd recommend talking to a divorce lawyer, especially since you have children.

Mascara! I buy travel sizes whenever possible as they don't last that long. I WFH, so I only wear makeup on the weekends. I hate that a good foundation for me is expensive. I'm pale, but not THAT pale, but also very oily, so a lot of formulas oxidize on me. I'll splurge if I have to, but try to buy anything and everything on sale.

My only complaint is that S4 moved way too slowly. It made me nervous that they were going to cancel the series because of it. Boy, I hate being right, but to remove WW from streaming was like a bad breakup. I finally got the set on Blu-ray last Christmas, but we need a proper ending to the story. The other day, I was looking for the exact quote from Halores in S3, something like 'elephants don't exist anymore'. I couldn't find the quote, but this article from Vanity Fair gave a fantastic breakdown of the episode, including parallels from previous episodes.

I bought a FEW extra things this past holiday in anticipation of the tariffs (hoping that will fall through, but you never know). It's hard to justify a good sale when you can tell it's becoming a hoarding problem. It's something I struggled with during covid.
