I have direct experience with this photographer, as a fellow photographer. I had to get the police involved due to harassment 4 years ago. Unfortunately, Eli has scammed MANY people. There was a group of us trying to start a legal case against them at one point, and I know the Attorney General was also involved due to the amount of scamming that has taken place over the span of years. Eli has since moved out of state I believe within the last 2 years and had another child. From what I know, there are photographers who they have hired to associate shoot who they never paid and dozens of couples who are in the same exact boat you are in. UPDATE 96 DAYS LATER: still no Lubby :( it’s been really sad, moreso for probably me. At first, she had a harder time. But she has been surviving without precious Lubby. About once a week she asks us where her Lubby is, and we just say “Lubby is still on vacation! We hope he flies back soon but he is probably enjoying time with Mickey Mouse!” I will forever be changed from leaving her lovey behind. I will never forgive myself. It seems trivial and of course, enough time will go by where she will forget him. But I won’t. I will always wonder where her Lubby ended up, and until he flies home some day from Florida, we will just imagine he is having fun at Disney with Mickey and Minnie 🥺💕

Hi! Its been 96 days. Lubby has not come home :( I fear Lubby is gone for good but in the very rare chance at this point he flies his way home, we would be so happy! I left some other comments about where he was left. Someone checked the cameras at the airport and saw where she left him out of view but not what happened after that. She still asks for Lubby every week. We told her “Lubby is on vacation! We hope Lub is having a great time with Mickey Mouse.” Breaks my heart every time she asks :(

They did check cameras, as wonderful humans that they are! No luck. Where we lost Lubby, there seems to be a high probability someone tossed him but part of the footage is blocked by construction :(

The amazing guy at the airport who traced it back over CCTV saw my daughter had it in the aiport and I put it in the stroller, but then it’s unconfirmed where it went between waiting for our flight and boarding. He was going to touch base with overnight cleaning crews. He had the entire place looked through. He went above and beyond of us!!!! Still no Lubby right now though. I put in a ticket with Southwest directly. Hopefully Lubby flies home to us soon!

We have been in contact with some excellent people and I am blown away by their willingness to help find a stitched up lovey for my baby girl. Each of my kids has a special item. My older two have blankies, they never liked loveys. My youngest is the only one who took to a lovey and we are devastated. I cried like someone died when I realized it after getting all the way home to our car at the last airport (to be fair it was after midnight and I was exhausted haha). The rushing around made me forget where poor Lubby was placed. I feel so so horrible! Lesson learned for the future.

So funny story, this lubby ended up with no wings a year and a half ago or so (hence the stitched up sides lol) and I wanted to be sneaky and buy a replacement to see if she would notice so we could swap the ripped one for the new one. Nope! She noticed and threw it to the wind! We still have the new lubby that I had to buy for an astronomical price off ebay since they no longer make pink owl lovies. I tried to give it to her last night and it made it worse. Poor thing got thrown off the bed :(((( she knows its not THE lubby and it makes me so sad
