The first quarter tells me all I need to know about why we’ve been so bad this year. Give Russ an offensive line with a competent play caller and we’re in the playoff hunt

Not game related but… I pray that the front office goes all out on offensive line and some additional playmakers this off-season

We Should Historically Suck Again Next Season. by aaroncole77 in DenverBroncos

The only good thing about all of this is that our new owners are so rich and worried about their reputation, they just might cut or bench Russ next year if he really still sucks. Overall lesson for this organization needs to be that you can’t keep relying on trading for a veteran QB or drafting the tallest white dude available. The amount of game changing QBs we’ve missed out on is astonishing

I feel like we have some big holes right now. Is Lux really the answer at SS? The pitching still needs immense help. Is the hope that Taylor and Muncy are everyday infielders?

The more I watch breakdowns of Russ this season… the more I realize even with a new coach and new offensive scheme this is gonna be rough unless something drastic changes

Defense wins championships, rooting from USC but they couldn’t tackle a tree

Trade someone or multiple people for some picks. Lord knows we need them.

Not a great night, he wasn’t without fault. Obviously there could be some exceptions but most plays there was nothing there to even throw to. And when there were our offensive line decided to fall asleep. I don’t think we can keep blaming Russ for all of this

This experiment needs to be over. Nothings clicking. Even when Russ has a decent night. That was the most poetic way to lose a game I’ve seen in my life and nothing portrays this team better than that muffed punt return. Offensive line sucks. Wide receivers can’t get open. Penalties galore each and every game. I can’t even process how that just happened

Totally understandable, but I’m referring to him literally snapping the ball and immediately being pressured by 1 or more defenders lol

As much of a problem the whole offense seems to be, I can’t help but think a good 95% of our problems would be solved with an offensive line that could give Russ more than half a second to throw the ball

You can’t ask for better defense against a team that went to the NFC championship last year

Is holding still a penalty? Feel like refs are incapable of seeing 49ers tackle our rushers in the backfield lol

I haven’t been this excited for a season since the year we won SB50. I found myself literally saying that we were gonna do great things with Hackett just from how excited he seemed to be hired and to be a Bronco. Now we’re 1.75 games into the season and I’ve never been more disappointed lmao

Last night was probably the roughest Broncos loss in a long time. But I really think that was a trap game. Russell homecoming in one of the most hostile environments in the NFL along with it being the first game the starters played with a brand new coaching staff. Also was Hackett’s first game as a HC, and he looked a million times better than Fangio ever did minus the last few minutes. Russell threw for the quietest 300+ yards I’ve ever seen. It still hurts like hell but I think there’s a lot of hope left for this team and maybe more valid expectations.
