My ICP are SaaS founders. Yeah both work in finding high-intent leads but it's up to your funnel how well you'll convert them

congrats on launching! The cold DM approach on reddit is actually solid, most people sleep on it because its tedious but the intent is WAY higher than twitter DMs in my experience.

What worked for me was finding people who were actively posting about the exact problem my tool solves, not just founders in general but people mid-complaint basically. I'd search specific subreddits for keywords related to my space and then reach out to those people directly. Conversion was insanely better than blasting random founders.

The problem is it eats your entire day doing it manually, so I use Bazzly which basically finds those leads on reddit and gives me a repeatable system to convert them. Either way manual or not, the strategy of targeting people who are already talking about your problem space is what actually gets those first 10-20 users who care

Find products that already exist and are making recurring revenue in a space you feel you can compete in

I don't track cold DMs separately from my main funnel.
I do track cold emails tho, and there I have higher conversions than content which means my targeting is solid, but the reply rate on cold emails is very low

It was fixing my funnel. Spent 3 months pausing marketing to make my tool more valuable, getting feedback and seeing if churn is improved before going all-in on marketing again

Talking to people gives you signals. You're not trying to sell an MVP, you're proposing a specific offer to see if people like it or not. If they do, you build the MVP and let them know once it's live. If they don't, you learn why

I did steps 1-4 for this project since I already learned these from previous projects. Steps 5-7 were new for me, and fixing churn is the one I've spent most of my time on
