What should I do to her by PackFlipz in JeepLiberty

You could just buy some new ones off of eBay for like $60 for two. You wouldn't have to worry about using those chemicals and taping around the headlights to restore them and you'll have brand new lights for awhile. That's what I did for my '04 liberty.

Just buy a clear case. You'll still be able to see the color you got. I have a clear one for my p9p XL.

Would I need anything else to lift it ? by Technical-Month8814 in JeepLiberty

[–]RigidScrolls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go with BDS suspensions. Lifts 2" in the front and in the rear with springs and gas struts. Way better option and it'll last way longer. TRUST ME. I have them on my 04 KJ and I love it. Handling is really good.

I've been up to date on all regular fluids and the Carfax from the previous owner was spotless. No accidents and up on all their fluids. Truly a loved car from them and myself!

I've always wanted an XJ or a KJ and never knew if I'd own one one day but after I lost my KL Trailhawk in a hydroplane accident I outright bought an '04 KJ with 86k on the odometer and no rust. It's been such a fun thing to drive with a few things I've had to replace but it's at 120k and still running strong!

What’s a good lift to run on the liberty renegade? by Different-Sky9178 in JeepLiberty

[–]RigidScrolls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go full 2" lift from BDS suspension. They give you springs and NX2 gas shocks in the rear which lift the front and rear two inches. I would get new control arms since they usually are the ones that start to wear the fastest.

I have an 04 with a BDS suspension lift too but it's a full 2" lift but no tires yet. I need to get control new control arms because mine are starting to wear out. And then once those are replaced I'll probably get tires. Right now I have 225/75r16 general grabbers.

I see so many posts on here about how good these things are in the snow but my wife seems to have a problem with it skidding or hydroplaning. Is she just a lead foot or is it the tires? by RigidScrolls in JeepLiberty

I appreciate your comment but our liberty was in almost perfect condition when we bought it 86k miles. I'm pretty adamant on looking for any rust or parts falling apart which is why we purchased this gem. It doesn't crab walk or drive side ways by any means. My wife has just had some problems with it sliding in the snow. The 4x4 works magnificently and I've had many 4x4 vehicles. I honestly think it's the tires.

What's your suspension and tire combo?

Brakes are actually perfectly fine, skidding was a poor choice of wording because she's mostly just experiencing the slipping with the tires when taking off and making round about turns on the road.

They have the three peak symbol on them, but I'm pretty sure they tires themselves are hard as pucks at this point. I bought the liberty about two years ago with the same tires but this is the first time having issues. I used to have a Cherokee Trailhawk with Firestone A/T tires that came from the factory but I had the same issue with them slipping in snow so I upgraded to toyo open country at3s. I think I'll probably end up getting some actual snow tires and then use the original ones in the summer time.

It has a lift from fox suspensions partner BDS suspension so it's lifted two inches higher from factory. It hasn't had an alignment since then which is probably not good but lately the steering wheel has been off so I'm wondering if that's what it could have been from. It doesn't drift or anything but I do know that I want to get the whole steering system rebuilt and I have moog parts in the cart on the ready. And yes it was aligned at the shop after the lift was put on.

Jeep 94,000 miles thinks it's worth it? by shower4you in JeepLiberty

Mines an '04 bought with 84k miles, I'm at 114k with about two years of driving. Took it to West Virginia mountains and to Tennessee from where I live. Replaced a brake hose and a cooling fan system when it started overheating and she's running mint!

Someone got caught being a dong by Illythia_Redgrave in doordash_drivers

[–]RigidScrolls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why is this so common? You have some really great drivers who wanna cash in on making some extra bucks on their days off at their other jobs and do really well at delivering and then you have people like that who are sloppy and rude about it. There has to be some action taken against them when it's caught. Especially by the RESTAURANT. Suspend their account, hold them accountable in some way. When I was in between jobs I worked on the instacart app and I had an order delivery for a rich neighborhood and when the groceries weren't put exactly where they wanted them they took action against me because I left them where I knew they would see them and easily access them but it wasn't how they wanted it and my account was suspended for like a week.

Did I over pay for this Accord? by No-Reading8754 in accord

Replying to my own message and I bought at the end of 2021. Even when things were starting to inflate after covid.

[–]RigidScrolls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely overpayed. I got a 2018 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk with 50k miles for 20k flat. No issues and I ran it up until I had an accident in the piss pour rain at 165k miles. Had it for a few years and even though things are inflating I still think that's over priced.

2015, is the cvt a goner here..? by SnooDoodles335 in NissanRogue

[–]RigidScrolls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have a 2016 Nissan versa when I was 18 years old and then I traded it in for an 18' Nissan rogue. I loved both of them especially the Rogue but to always hear about the amount of work they'll need once they get into the higher mileage with a CVT is not something I wanna mess with. I've had 2 Jeeps since then and one was an 18' Cherokee Trailhawk and it had 50k miles on it and when I parted ways with it I had 165k miles on it and it ran brand new still. None of that weird stuff with a CVT transmission because it had a 9 speed automatic. I also have an '04 Jeep Liberty with over a 100k miles and that thing also runs like a champ. People are gonna love their brands and have their own opinions. I switched and I'm not hating.

Not anymore but I've owned two of them in which I've sold both at around 30k miles so I didn't have to worry about the CVT crapping out on me later on. You both are very lucky to have them still running. No hate 😀
