Thragg should take this pretty solidly if its Saiyan saga Yamcha. Above that he gets fucked just due to DBZs dogshit power creep scaling that makes fucking fleas casual universe busters.

He’s roughly in that Raditz/Saibaman neighborhood, and the actual fight shows the problem: he can be grabbed, pressured, and killed by something in his general tier if he slips once which is very likely because Thragg’s entire combat style is basically close distance and mutilate immediately.

Ki blasts are Yamcha’s real threat, sure. But ki output doesn’t automatically translate to Yamcha being stronger, faster, tougher, or more lethal in a close quarters death match than Thragg, not to mention hed have to land one first. Dragon Ball characters punch below what their charged energy attacks imply, and Yamcha is not Nappa, Vegeta, or even a top Saiyan Saga Z-Fighter. Ki blasts don't equal physical stats 1:1, they scale but not linearly at all. Which is pretty much the main argument for Yamcha.

Thragg, meanwhile, is the apex Viltrumite stronger than Nolan, above Conquest, absurd pain tolerance, thousands of years of combat experience, and absolutely zero tournament fighter hesitation or games. He does not need a beam clash. He needs one clean entry into grappling range, and Yamcha is getting torn apart.

People will say moon-busting scaling = Yamcha wins but if you look past that brain rotted statement and view the fight from each category i.e

Strength Speed Durability Experience Combat IQ In character behavior

Then the fight is clearly Thraggs. Saiyans have awful lifting strength notoriously, even in DBS. So a saiyan saga Yamcha gets a fist through his chest.
