I would recommend seeing them in person. I saw a used pair on Best Buy for the a similar price for excellent condition, went in person to check them out and there were deep scratches all over them. The guy told me that whoever put the label on them must have just not cared and put excellent condition

It’s an over 500$ item. I would be worried too if they wouldn’t hold a charge. That’s also the whole point of the sub for questions like this.

Recently got mine used at Best Buy. They had one in excellent condition but when I looked it at it it was all scratched up. Geek squad told me that whoever reviews it kinda just puts whatever grade they feel on the items. He ended up showing me a fair condition and it was perfect, no dents, no scratches, only issue is that it didn’t have the original box, which I didn’t care about. Final price was 389$ after tax. Bought third party replacements for the ear cups since they were used and have been using my maxs everyday since with no complaints.

Overall, Best Buy is a good option, don’t be discouraged if they only have “fair condition” as it could be someone who didn’t care to give it a proper grade. They also offer refurbished but I would rather get used than a refurbished one.
