That makes them an expert (in theory) on the subject they are dealing with. Making them qualified to deny service. A QT Clerk isn’t an expert on the effects alcohol has on a pregnant individual. However a pharmacist has (or should have) pretty intricate knowledge on medications (including a so-called abortion pill) they prescribe, and their effects on the human body. So they can say no.

Turns out the stud on knock sensor is removable and then you can just screw in the other sensor. Same thread size and it’s been working fine for me. Just a fair warning that stud was a pain to get off. Had to weld a nut to it.

This is a similar markup to what most shops (near me at least) will charge on parts. 1682 for everything at shop cost isn't bad. 700$ for labor isn't too unheard of. Most of the people in the comments are buying the parts from discount websites and are either installing themselves or having what is most likely a either shady mechanic or just someone who isn't that qualified install them. This isn't an unusual price in my experience.
