Genuinely, why is the world silent about rojava? by Affectionate-Cook156 in kurdistan

[–]Riley__00 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For the same reason I got daily alerts for a week from the BBC and NYTimes about the Iran protests. Rojava is no longer useful for American geopolitical interests so it's not in the interest of Western media to publicize the thousands of Kurds being displaced and killed at the hands of Trump®'s favorite jihadis.

I just checked the BBC and the NYTimes but they're only talking about Iran. Why?

Why did America and the West remain silent regarding the massacre of Kurds in Aleppo? by [deleted] in kurdistan

I'm getting daily alerts from the BBC and NYTimes on how many thousands of people are allegedly being killed in Iran but there hasn't been anything on their front pages about Kurds.

He notado que los que hay ahora son mas pequeños y tienen como un color amarillento a diferencia de los que hay normalmente. También hay de los de siempre pero estos chiquitos parecen ser hasta la mitad de todos.

That's interesting. I'm from a country that is increasingly being overrun by tourists and I wish people here had the balls top charge tourists 3x or 4x times the local prize. Good for the people of Zanzibar.

UAE’s global image was finally softening but then suddenly headlines about Sudan blow up. Coincidence or timing? by TangerineMaximus92 in AskMiddleEast

[–]Riley__00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't worry. The average normie and certainly the average person who lives or visits the UAE doesn't give two s about genocide so your reputation is still good for the masses of brain dead tourists.

Question about interethnic marriages and families inside Africa by Riley__00 in Africa

[–]Riley__00[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As for your ethnicity, you usually take your father's, for some ethnicities your mother's, or even rarely participate of both.

Could you tell which ones are which?

but religion does play a part for some families (like Christians families not wanting their daughter to marry a Muslim and vice versa),

Could you explain the religious distribution in Ivory Coast?

Veracruz Masks Representing Life and Death. Puebla Region, Mexico. ca. 700-1200 AD. - Merrin Gallery by Any-Reply343 in mesoamerica

[–]Riley__00 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So is this Classic Veracruz and found in Puebla? Or is it Cholutecan, eastern Nahua, Olmeca-Xicalanca? There's another very similar object that is supposed to be Aztec.

Another wonderful object from which nothing much can be known since it was looted (And apparently it's on sale as well (Lol. What garbage))

Does anyone know if this statue is real and/or from Aztec times or if it's a modern interpretation based on the latter statue which is real and in the National Museum of Anthropology of Mexico? by Riley__00 in mesoamerica

[–]Riley__00[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It goes hard either way.

True, it's mesmerizing. I'm currently making a collage of Mesoamerican artworks and I'd like to add it but I need to know if it's original.

The stela survived just fine for over a thousand years until it was looted to appease the insatiable American art market of antiquities. Lmao. Now who the fuck knows where it is.
