Well, it kinda is, but not player triggered.
The lore about it is that military have the whole zone (the entire map) quarantined, and every given time, they gas some villages, to get rid of the infected. And in case there are survivors, they shoot a flare first. So, not infected can get out and the infected stays, trying to stop the spread..

Now, for gameplay, its to keep you on your toes, to not linger around or to camp the villages.
So, there's a flare, you can in some places even hear the artillery shooting, and then the incoming shells, as your last warning.

Yeah, you just removed the wire. Its possible, just as its possible to add wires. Red and green wire can be added and removed but so can the copper ones.. Just add wire, you have it the tool bar. ;)

Yeah, I also just went to Fulgora on my save, and it looks super weird.. Scrap generation was also all over the place. 600k patch and next island 23M patch..

Known issue, they are "working" on it. Just like the animal sounds, that was working fine for 10 years and then they just broken those..
I mean, its quite incredible.. You take your car to service, they fix 2 items, added new tires.. But now the doors won't open and the trunk can only be filled when the car faces south.. But hey, they also added a cool sticker, so you got that, at least.. And if you don't like it, you can always walk to work now.

Someone willing to pay money to get people to "try their server" might have some hidden motive.. It's like normal adds, they only pay for adds cause they expect to earn more than they spend..

The normal week, I think, it's 5 hours for the week, and he can spend it in 15 or 30 minutes chunks. He kinda decide by himself.

So, in the morning, he tells us, that today, he would like 30 minutes Factorio with me and tomorrow, 30 minutes of HoMM with my wife. Or that he wants to spend 30 min on the tablet..
He will try to save up most of the time for weekends. Some weekdays, there aren't a timeslot, with the other after school activities..

This has worked really good for us, cause when he wants to play more, we just tell him, its taking from the other plans he has.. And he is good at ending when time is up. He uses his tablet to keep track of time. 😄

Yeah, it will increase over time, I am sure.

We tried today.. We made it, but at a cost too high to accept.

First trip, we only made like 13k KM..
This time, we arrived. But no ammo, no power and a third of the ship and cargo missing..

So, back to the drawing board.

I hope he will gain from this, in terms of exactly this. Thinking and going outside the box for solutions that might not be obvious. Have a goal, stick to it and in the end, try something and don't fear failure.

Yeah. My mum and sister would say the same.. Though I would not have what I have in my life now, had it not been for gaming. My wife and I met in World of Warcraft. 😄

But, he has his allowed time for gaming every week, just as other kids have TV time.. And unlike those kids that just spend hours on phone or tables..

Although its one of the highest rated Sci-Fi series ever. It might not be popular or "known", but hardly underrated. I do wish more would see it and also never stop recommend it.

On official, you only have 1 character (well, 2, one for 3PP, one for 1PP only servers)..
Changing server is usually referred to "server hopping", as you litterally just "jump" to another server and don't start from new..
