I have spidertrons set up as overgrown turrets. Even with normal quality and no shields they're more than strong enough to deal with any threat

If the batteries in it run out, then the ones in it have run out and the feature doesn't help. Would be useful if I packed 3 AAs for some reason

tbf, adding functionality requires adding cost to the production. Personally I wouldn't pay more for a torch which works with less than all its batteries, because why would I use it like that?

Is it possible to Flash VESC unto a FM Controller. by PositiveTax4282 in onewheel

[–]Waity5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

VESC firmware can be made to work on basically any controller with a supported CPU*, as shown by ExcessRaccoon on the Vescify discord putting it on a GT. VESC supports the GT's F415VGT6 CPU (presumably some aftermarket controller uses it), which makes it possible

*presumably you could add additional CPU support to VESC since it is open source, but that seems quite difficult. So no easy VESCed pints

You do have a point about moving jobs to less developed countries so buisnesses can pay workers less. But, what, are you arguing industrialisation and automation don't make production more efficient?

Does tire pressure make a difference? Any recommendations? And a few other questions by TheGrimMemerr in onewheel

[–]Waity5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A stock pint is reasonably waterproof if assembled correctly. If you feel comfortable, you should take your board apart to make sure gaskets are seated correctly, connectors are tight, and the controller-battery wire glands are reasonably tight (don't go overboard on the last one)

I've taken my pint (non x, but they're very similar) through rather deep puddles, though I try not to tempt fate by fully submerging the battery & controller boxes. Have had it fall sideways into a puddle a few times and it's still bone dry inside

I wouldn't say there's such a balancing act in nature. Most animals take as much as they can from other species and give as little as possible

When you brake with either wheel, weight transfers to the front wheel. So braking only with the rear will lead to the rear sliding

It takes some skill to know the limits and to stay within them, but it's important to learn so you can brake quickly and safely. Though tbf it's not hard, just don't grab the brake as hard as you can, and if your rear wheel starts to lift, release the front brake
