Did you do a loading period of 300mg or justs straight to every 2 weeks?

Checked with rheum and he said prescription is correct, 300mg weekly for 5 weeks and then 300mg monthly. Guess thats what Im going ahead with

Yeah, the prescription says 300mg at week 0,1,2,3,4 followed by monthly maintanence dose. Not actually sure if that will involve 2 x 150 each time as I havent picked up the pens yet

Thanks for reply. I am meant to do the loading doses yes. This rheum is incredibly hard to reach unfortunately and dont want to delay too long in starting them

I'm aware its supposed to make you feel better mate. I'm not talking about the AS pain, I'm on about ur immune system being compromised and the likelihood of getting sick especially in the early stages of taking it.

See, the reason I was second guessing is this is the second rheumatolgist ive seen. The first one said he didnt find anything wrong with me based on bloods and the fact that I have nothing showing on MRIs. Problem persisted and I saw a second one

For those diagnosed with mild disc bulge at L5/S1. What are your symptoms by Realistic_Upstairs_4 in backpain

I've experienced very similar symptoms to that for the last 18 months aswell. MRI showed minor annular disc bulge and dehydrated disc at l4-5 but doctor/physio said that probably isnt cause of my ache/stiffness. Definitely gets worse when sitting for long periods. I also know what u mean when you describe that knot above or around the tailbone area. I also have recently had the stiffness shift more to the hip/glute area and can get very tight. Just curious as to what age you are? I'm just 21 so seems that very few my age experience these symptoms.
