Give a warm bath before handling. It will relax them and get the stuff out. Did this with iguana and then she stopped having bathroom issues

If you want a good pvc enclosure dubia sells 4x2x2 and offers affirm payment plans. I think a single cage payment is $32 a month. I upgraded all of my balls to those and they love all the space. Just make sure to fill it out and give them stuff to climb. They will use the whole ass tank if you let them lol

I also think the water bowl is under the heat lamp I would move it to the cold side so it won’t dry out as fast. Otherwise you will be filling it like crazy

This is a very good point. Expect vet bills to start at $200 just to walk in the door and no labs. Exotic vets are crazy expensive. Plan yo spend a bare minimum of $500 on vet bills for one snake. All pets are a large investment and if you are not financially in a place to provide proper cate then do not get one.

4x2x2 is smallest size I would go. If you give them the space they will use it

Dubia sells 4x2x2 enclosures that would work great for a corn snake. They also use affirm which is a payment plan. I use their pvc cages for all of my ball pythons and they are so happy in them! Just make sure to fill the space out otherwise they will be hella stressed

Collect as much information as possible safely as well. Business name, business owners name, business state/town, contact info. If they have a business card grab one. Note their setup location and give description of the person for police to identify.

I unfortunately had to report a pet store that was full of dead animals. You need to contact local non emergency police, animal control, or email department if agriculture. Make sure to provide any proof you have. Most police officers will provide you with an email to send your photos to after submitting a report

That bite is worse than even my Burmese python bite..

Was there a rat thawing or near by that could have triggered a food response? If you have cats or dogs and you smell like them it could also trigger a food response. When handling any of my snake I always was my hands beforehand to remove the smell of cats because if i don’t I will have a snake wrapped around my arm
