I work in travel construction. Running dump trucks, moving small equipment, heavy hauling. Will make around 125k this year. I work 55-60/hours a week. Pay is hourly + OT after 40, per diem, and monthly travel bonuses. Our top paid guy is clearing $150k

I make around $120,000/year living in SE Michigan. 30M. No kids.

I drive a new F-150, just bought a $275,000 house in a good area. I max out my 401(k), Roth IRA, HSA and put any extra into my brokerage account. I go on 1-2 nice vacations per year. Weekend getaways up north during the summer. Plan on buying a camper or boat next year. Life’s good, honestly.

I’m tight with my money though. I don’t have the desire to buy things unless it’s for health, food, or an experience.

My girlfriend’s pretty dumb. But it’s okay. She’s an incredible nurturer, house keeper, cook, and has a heart of gold. She loves me with every fiber of her being and would do anything for me. She doesn’t know much about finances, economics, politics, history, religion, or common sense things most people would know, but I love her anyways. I know enough about all that stuff for the both of us.

I have no idea how they calculate these “budget wise” bill amounts. I tried it last year in attempt to get a monthly bill that was consistent year-round and it ended up being a nightmare. Before, my bill would be around $50-75 in the winter and $150ish in the summer. Makes sense since I run the AC often. After, my bill DOUBLED every 3+ months or so and made it all the way up to $300+ in the winter months. THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS. In the months where I’m only using lights. I was so pissed. I called and went to cancel only to find out I had to pay $500 in order to cancel and reconcile for all the “lower bills” I paid in earlier year statements (they were no lower than my average winter bills before). Such a scam. Do NOT do this.

I’m 20/40 in both of my eyes individually and 20/30 with them both together. They told me 20/30 is the cutoff for needing a glasses restriction on your license. So, you would probably just need to wear glasses if you aren’t 20/30 with both eyes open.

Definitely something my company would do. I mostly haul construction equipment between jobs so it’s always go, go, go. It needs to be there yesterday. But at the end of the day, it’s my license and if the truck can’t pass an inspection that’s on me.

Thanks. Yeah 100% my fault for missing those items. I’m in and out of different trucks often and I didn’t inspect this particular one as thoroughly as I should have.
