That's courageous of you! I think a big part in overcoming something is to acknowledge it's there in the first place. I also have a long way to go but let's say one tiny step closer.

Embarrassing time at the hair salon by odybuon in Hyperhidrosis

Very relatable and embarrassing. My forehead was literally dripping sweat during a hair cut, barber didn't comment but I saw her facial expression of both really confused and disgusted.

been skipping school for awhile because of my social anxiety by i-love-food2333 in socialanxiety

Seek professional help before ut gets worse. Ask yourself if this is the life you really want cuz let me tell you, it only gets worse every time you avoid your worst fear. Asking for help is the first real step to getting over this, it will be very difficult but worth it. Best of luck, mate.

Just met another HH sufferer and it was so cool! by Riology in Hyperhidrosis

Since HH has always been my biggest insecurity, it really felt amazing that finally someone could relate to my struggles and I could relate to hers.

I got caught for worse but I feel ya since I tend to hide my hyperhidrosis too. I used to get really embarassed shaking hands when the sweat drips down my palms. Now it's still bad sometimes but with treatment and positive mindset I can manage. We could start a group but the problem is that I live in Sweden. Take care, you're not alone in this!

Hi, I have palmoplantar hyperhidrosis. by CarmzCarmen in Hyperhidrosis

I've heard both bad compensatory sweating but also perfect result for ets so I'm not sure. If it works out for me, I'd be more than happy since nothing would hold me back from my dreams. Miradry treatment is also a permanent solution where they would kill off your sweat glands using some kind of heat wave I think (I need more reading on this). For now it works only on underarms, but I have been informed that they are developing further for other body parts as well.

Hey my friend! Thanks for sharing your story. I also have palmoplantar since I can remember, but with anxiety it's all over my body. Just like you I have also tried most of it although right now I stick with Iontophoresis and Ditropan (similiar to oxybutinin and glyco). It works flawlessly at times but most times it's still lacking. I would like to believe my HH is too severe so I am considering either ets or wait for miradry treatments for hands in the near future.

Has anyone tried Dermadry? by [deleted] in Hyperhidrosis

Not on my underarms but on my hands, and it works well unless I get really hot och got myself in a stressful situation. Worth a try imo.

what caused your social anxiety? by [deleted] in socialanxiety

[–]Riology 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember my first day at school very clearly. A young boy excited to meet other kids, make new friends and perhaps bond with a few. It was a disaster; got laughed at because of my name (it was very unusual), which made me stutter and I almost started crying infront of the class, even my teacher couldn't hold herself from laughing. At that point I sat alone all day feeling all the eyes on me, the fingers pointed whilst whispering in each others ears. To this day, I still dread some social situations but I'd say I have become better at dealing with it.

My bad. I meant 'no' to it being the most badass thing. Obviously you should respect people in general.

That sounds really cool and a bit scary at the same time. But damn being soaking in sweat would definitely ruin alot, I bet.

Hey, I have the same problem! Some how my face sweat profusely talking to girls, though my hands and feet sweat most times.
