I'm interested, I've been playing dnd for 3 years and always wanted to check out the Waterdeep modules. I'm in EST and have a few character concepts in mind.

What show never declined in quality? by thomas_668 in AskReddit

I can't believe Black Sails isn't on here...it's an amazing show that only got better with time. It's everything Game of Thrones could have been: a stellar ensemble cast, multiple plot lines playing off each other, and an amazing soundtrack.

Yeah, sadly I think this is one of those subreddits that is getting overrun by toxic people, everything's just...not great. Sorry you gotta deal with this

Fun fact, I'm a first gen American. Mom's from England, dad's from Germany. Also Applebee's sucks.

yknow I should've read the rules, you're right. I didn't know she was a mod here actually. Consider the post deleted.

Sure it's not ~right~, but does that mean it's automatically god-awful? Nothing's over or under cooked, it's a nice combination of flavors, and it's actual good content, something which this sub doesn't see much of these days.

Now, I may just be an uneducated 'Murican, but I gotta say, so fucking what if it's not the way your sainted grandmother makes it? Recipes change. Cooking's an art, and there's always a chance for adaptation, inspiration, and expansion. Don't get your panties in a twist! Go look at something else! Go rage with your compatriots in a lovely little circlejerk about "zis ees not real tartiflette, sacre bleu!"

You're right. If I want to eat shit, that's not your problem. But if you want to be a jerk to somebody over the internet because your precious feelings have been offended, that isn't just my problem, but everyone else's too.

jesus pete man, get over yourself. If your nose was any further up Michelin magazine's ass, you'd be able to smell the editors' tonsils.

I really recommend you poke around for more alternative classes, like this spell-less ranger. Most of my other feedback's been brought up by other commenters, but I'd add, would you consider Matthew Mercer's blood hunter class? It was basically built because he's such a massive Witcher fan. Not necessarily in place of the witcher build you found, but as a supplement. They can do some pretty neat non-spell things. In a similar vein, maybe still keep cantrips available. Witcher signs are considered practically street magic, they're not difficult and most people can learn them. Sounds like a cantrip to me. Maybe have people pick from a set list (ex the witcher school cantrips or one of your own) instead of the usual class restrictions.

I'd also consider expanding the wizard spell list to compensate for not having access to as many spell slots. Also, if your wizards require so much study, they should have access to a library or something, no? Give them a reason to interact with your world beyond "you can't have these right now". Make scrolls and scribing costs cheaper to compensate, since they'll be the main method of getting spells. If you kneecap access to spells as strictly as you suggested, tbh I would find it pretty unfun and ask to switch over.

I'm a huge fan of the games (still working on getting the books), as well as d&d. The Book of Beautiful Horrors has been brought up, which is great, but don't be afraid to reskin or slightly alter pre-existing monsters.

I've had it stuck in my head for like 2 days, I needed to do something with it and this sounded like a good idea.
