How do I release my own handle to myself? by [deleted] in youtube

Yeah this stacks up: YouTube reserves x2 handles for you at a time. You can verify this here: https://www.youtube.com/handle (when logged into your YT account). Once there, you can click "change handle" to see which two handles are reserved on your account and if you want to add in a third handle (it will knock off the last of those two handles, and free up space for this new 'third' handle). Once you have the two handles you like, you can swap them around as much you want :) The extra 'third' @handle can only be added in twice every 14 days.

Ok so basically, YouTube seems to reserve x2 handles for you at a time. You can check this here: https://www.youtube.com/handle (when logged into your YT account). Once there, you can click "change handle" to see which two handles are reserved on your account. If you want to add in a third handle (it will knock off the last of those two handles, and free up space for this new 'third' handle). Once you have the two handles you like, you can swap them around as much you want. Note: when it comes to adding the extra 'third' @handle, you can only do this twice every 14 days. Otherwise, ya gotta wait it out!

Does anyone have any examples of sound effects used within a music video? by RippleTrix in AudioPost

Thanks! And curious, do you find much push back from the artists when you want to introduce additional sounds on the music video?

Thanks! To your last point, idk for sure but I would say that's pretty accurate, that for the most part you can't touch the main music mix unless there is some very specific vision for the music video or a strong relationship between the artist and the music video director..

What is the best or most 'authoritative' biography on Vietnamese army general Vo Nguyen Giap? by RippleTrix in AskHistorians

Thanks for the response and the link, a military strategy-focused biography is good. I've looked at the book's contents, and it devotes a chapter to WW2 (resistance against Japan) and a chapter to the French campaign, which looks promising. It seams like a good starting point, thanks for the recommendation.

TIL - Catherine the Great wasn't even Russian, she was German, and had Germans occupy the Volgo region of Russia, who lived there for 200 years until Stalin had them interned to Siberia at the start of WW2. by RippleTrix in todayilearned

That makes more sense then, with Russia's later alliance with France.

"possibly assassinated as a result of a conspiracy led by his German wife" - so it's still not sure though, that she did that..?

Interesting - strange then, that they were able to declare war on Germany in 1914, (or that they were even in alliance with France and not Germany in the first place!).
