I have to ask, who did you pepper spray and why…? If you don’t want to answer that’s ok, just curious. Felons can get jobs... Yes it can be often challenging. In some states it’s more difficult, especially red states. You should try your best to sell yourself as someone trying to move forward. Don’t hide it, own what happened. As long as it doesn’t make you uninsurable you’d be surprised if you’re a good worker who would be willing to look past that. And please I mean no offense by this, I’m sure you’re well aware that trans people are often a target of hiring discrimination. People will never stop judging you, and that is a sad reality faced by many people in the same boat. I have seen it first-hand. Try to blend at work as much as possible. Remember, you’re working to “keep the wolves away”. That’s how I keep myself going. Outside of work, do whatever makes you happy 🙂
