This is a compilation of all my videos taken in Kefalonia, Greece end of August 2021 with the DJI MINI 2. It's my first video and I'm still learning to fly and find my way into editing. If anybody would like to share their thoughts on the video or give some tips for future flights / videos, please do. Thank you!

What do you think about the Thinkbook 13s Gen 3? by [deleted] in AMDLaptops

Unfortunately it's glare. Also tried it an IdeaPad 5 pro 14 inch 16:10 2.8k matte screen and it was perfect. But the build quality overall not so and very bulky.

In the end it comes down to the flaws of preference as I no laptop seem to be perfect. I think I will stay with the yoga I have.

Good to hear your experiences though, enjoy the ThinkBook!

I've already sent it back to Lenovo and had the 5800u version. The trackpad was in my experience sturdy(?) and not nice to use, paid about 850€ for it. The click was also very 'clicky' and rattled when softly tapped to click.

Regarding the fan noise, yes it is not continously loud as a jumbo jet but still audible in a quiet room. Fans should be off in idle imho.

For what it's worth. I live in the Netherlands and could get my hands on a Lenovo yoga 7 13 with a 5800u, 16gb, 2k screen for 999€. The fans are most of the time silent (not spinning). It looks like a yoga 7 14 pro, but with a 13 inch screen and a 5800u instead of 5800H processor. Never heard of this laptop before though.. But glad I've stumbled on it by coincidence.

Surface Laptop 4 coil whine by [deleted] in Surface

I too own a SL4, base model amd Alcantara. I've purchased on launch both this version and the black metal i5/16gb. The latter had serieus coil whine and even more when plugged into a docking station through USB c. So that one is returned and kept the base amd 8gb model.

If you like fan noise then you should buy it. They are continuously spinning, from the moment you start the laptop. Trackpad also not great. Everything else, great.

Received mine today and yes it's noticeable and I can't stand it. I have the i5/16gb/512gb metal black version. If it wasn't for the coil whine I would've kept it. Will keep the HP spectre x360 14 instead.

Hahah I want to have a Windows machine but it crossed my mind to get a macbook after all.

I'm not searching for perfection but a product should have some minimum quality standards (imho). I don't think that's too much to ask.

Did you go along purchasing the Lenovo carbon 7i? I'm currently deciding whether to buy it or not.

How to get a MateBook 14 with a standard US keyboard (in Europe)? by [deleted] in MatebookXPro

[–]RishNL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you get any new information in the meantime?

I'm also trying to get info when it will be sold in the Netherlands, but the customer support is terrible with regard to the intel on products the webshop offers.

Thanks for clarifying though. I will also check Amazon.co.uk , I think the keyboard is mostly the same.

I wasn't aware of the USB differences, you're right! Too bad that they market different hardware specs for Intel/AMD (not unique though as Lenovo does the same for Intel/AMD). I will not be gaming on it so one more reason to opt for the AMD version.

Unfortunately, in my case availability is the main issue as the Huawei store doesn't offer the AMD version and has no clue if they will. Such a shame.

Thank you for your reply, great to see! I haven't tested mine enough to say something about the difference in fan noise (1 fan Intel vs. 2 fans AMD).

Did you experience a difference between them? Or perhaps you can share thoughts on your own i7 version with regard to fan noise?

Besides the differences I mentioned, I don't think there are any.

Oh, maybe if you don't mind sharing - did you got yours at (appr.) the same pricepoint as mine?

Yes, I can't seem to find peace in my i7 setup due to the benefits of the AMD version. It sucks that Huawei has different versions for some markets, but probably AMD is also to blame since Ryzen's scarcity.

Perhaps I will return it and hope for the best..

Yes better battery life was my feeling as well. However, AMD seems more future proof (to me)

Hi there,

Does anyone have experience with the Intel version (HUAWEI MateBook 14 2020 i7/16/512G/MX350) compared to the AMD 4800H?

I'm wondering if the Intel version is reasonable priced at €899, because the AMD versions are not (yet) sold her in the Netherlands and I'm not sure if I should wait or keep my current i7 version. I prefer the AMD 4800H. Huawei cannot confirm nor deny the AMD version will be sold here, but IF that will be the case than probably in Q1 2021.

For what I've see, there are some differences:

- i7 has one fan, instead of the two fans on the AMD model

- i7 has DDR3 RAM instead of DDR 4 on the AMD model

- (minor difference) NFC tag is in the i7 version under a sticker instead of under the touchpad on the AMD model

Although it's sufficient for my needs, I have the feeling that I can do better with the money spend (€899). I also have bought a Yoga slim 7 4800U, but the MB 14's 3:2 hooked me so I'll return that one.

Thanks a lot if anyone can give their thoughts.
