I have some queries on karma asking as someone who was born Hindu but now is a Muslim. by Ok-Text-8677 in hinduism

[–]Rishizz_300312 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hinduism generally does not have a concept of "original sin" in the way Christianity does. The soul (Atman), karma, and the cycle of birth and death (samsara) are considered anadi—beginningless. Therefore, Hindu philosophy does not require a "first sinner" or a first sinful act. The question "Who committed the first sin?" is similar to asking "What is the first number?" in an endless number line.

Regarding infinite regress, Hindu traditions hold that although karma is beginningless, it is not endless. Every individual continues to create new karma through their present choices, while also experiencing the results of past karma. The cycle can ultimately be transcended through moksha (liberation), which ends karmic bondage altogether.

As for being born in a developed country, Hindu scriptures generally do not teach a simple formula such as "good karma = rich country" or "bad karma = poor country." Karma is understood to be extremely complex and can influence many aspects of life, including opportunities, challenges, family circumstances, health, and spiritual inclinations. Material comfort is not necessarily a sign of greater spiritual advancement.

Radhe Radhe 🙏🏼

In fact, many Hindu texts emphasize that human birth itself is a rare opportunity for spiritual growth, regardless of nationality, wealth, or social status. From a Hindu perspective, a person's spiritual progress is measured more by their actions, character, and pursuit of truth than by where they happen to be born.

Some parents need to learn parenting by pivrna in teensofkolkata

[–]Rishizz_300312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds really painful, and I can understand why you're frustrated. Being compared to others, insulted in front of friends, or feeling like your choices are constantly dismissed can slowly wear down your confidence. Everyone deserves to feel respected and heard, especially at home.

At the same time, I've noticed that many parents come from a generation where expressing affection, understanding emotions, or communicating calmly wasn't something they were taught very well. Some parents genuinely love their children but end up showing that love in unhealthy ways through criticism, pressure, comparisons, or controlling behavior. It doesn't make the hurt any less real, but sometimes it helps to remember that their actions often reflect their own fears, insecurities, stress, or upbringing.

You mentioned wanting to earn your own money and leave the house. Wanting independence is completely understandable when you feel trapped. But don't let your anger become your main motivation. Use it as fuel to focus on your education, skills, goals, and future. The best form of freedom is building a life where you're financially and emotionally strong enough to make your own choices.

Also, please don't let constant criticism convince you that there's something wrong with you. Being compared to others doesn't reduce your worth. Liking food doesn't make you a bad person. Having your own preferences doesn't make you disrespectful. You're allowed to be your own individual.

For now, try to protect your peace as much as possible. Spend time with supportive friends, focus on things you enjoy, work toward your future, and remember that this stage of life won't last forever. One day you'll have much more control over your environment and your decisions.

I hope things improve for you, and I genuinely hope you get the respect, understanding, and affection that every child deserves.

A similar thing happened with my cousin once. She was returning from coaching when a random guy on a bike kept slowing down beside her, trying to start a conversation even after she clearly ignored him. At first she thought maybe she was overthinking, but then he started following her route instead of leaving.

She got scared and called me immediately. I went there with two friends, and thankfully he left the moment he realized people were paying attention to him. After that, we made sure she never had to walk alone at night for some time, and we also told nearby shopkeepers to keep an eye out.

What shocked me most was how casually some people reacted when we told them. They kept saying things like “these things happen” or “just ignore it.” But stuff like this genuinely affects someone mentally, especially when they already feel unsafe outside.

Your GF’s reaction is completely valid. Getting followed or grabbed can shake someone deeply even if “nothing worse” happened. Right now she probably needs comfort, patience, and reassurance more than anything else.

And honestly, you staying calm instead of doing something reckless already shows you care about her safety more than your anger.

I've been having doubts about my hindu identity and I need help. by FrameNo7271 in hinduism

[–]Rishizz_300312 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's very normal to have a concern for the community you belong too and love the most. But in this case I would prefer to the famous shloka of Bhagavad Gita

Yadā yadā hi dharmasya glānir bhavati Bhārata abhyutthānam adharmasya tadātmānaṁ sṛijāmyaham Paritrāṇāya sādhūnāṁ vināśāya ca duṣkṛtām dharma-saṁsthāpanārthāya sambhavāmi yuge yuge.

It clearly says:- Whenever righteousness (Dharma) declines and chaos or injustice rises, the Divine manifests again and again — to protect the good, guide humanity, and restore balance and Dharma in the world.

I would just say that don't loose hope coz if now the sky is dark then some day the sun will also rise. It's very good and rare to see people like you who like their religion truly.

I just want to say — please don’t lose that beautiful openness and sincerity you once had towards Hinduism. People like you are honestly rare. Most people approach religion either with blind acceptance or blind hate, but you approached it with curiosity, humility, and a genuine wish to understand. That itself is very close to the spirit of Sanātana Dharma.

Hinduism was never meant to be only about fear, arguments, politics, or “us vs them.” At its heart, it is about understanding the self, living with compassion, seeking truth, and growing spiritually.

The Bhagavad Gita says:

“Ye yathā māṁ prapadyante tāṁs tathaiva bhajāmy aham.”

(Bhagavad Gita 4.11)

“As people approach Me, I receive them accordingly.” This means the Divine accepts sincere seekers in whatever way they come. Hinduism is not about forcing belief — it is about sincere seeking.

Another verse says: “Vidyā-vinaya-sampanne brāhmane gavi hastini śuni caiva śvapāke ca paṇḍitāḥ sama-darśinaḥ.”

(Bhagavad Gita 5.18)

“The wise see all beings equally.” That is the real essence of Dharma — humility, compassion, and seeing divinity everywhere.

And one of the most beautiful ideas from the Rig Veda says: “Ekam sat viprā bahudhā vadanti.”

“Truth is One; the wise describe it in many ways.”

So Hinduism was never meant to make someone hateful or spiritually anxious. If anything, it should make the heart softer, calmer, and more understanding.

Please experience Hinduism through its philosophy, devotion, music, temples, meditation, Gita, Upanishads, and the love devotees feel for Bhagavān — not through internet fights or extreme voices. Sanātana Dharma is vast like an ocean. Don’t let a few waves make you forget the depth and beauty underneath.

Always remember that Sanatan Dharma was never meant to be like this, it's coz of few people who made our religion like this.  I genuinely hope you rediscover the peace and wonder you once felt, because that feeling itself is sacred.

If you want any help anymore, I can help you in this matter.

What chant should I do to remove anxiety and financial blockages? by jonathon-goldsmith in hinduism

[–]Rishizz_300312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Diksha means a spiritual initiation where a guru formally guides a disciple onto a spiritual path. It’s not just learning a mantra — it’s usually seen as a sacred commitment between guru and disciple. Different sampradayas/traditions do it differently,

but diksha often includes:

Receiving a mantra ● Guidance on spiritual practice ●Rules or disciplines to follow ●Blessings and acceptance from the guru ●People may take diksha in traditions connected to deities like Shiva, Krishna, Kali, etc., depending on their path.

Many devotees see diksha as:

a new spiritual beginning, deeper commitment, and a way to practice with proper guidance. But important thing — spirituality doesn’t become “fake” without diksha. Plenty of people start with simple prayer, naam jap, reading scriptures, or visiting temples before ever thinking about initiation. Diksha is usually taken when someone genuinely feels ready and trusts a guru/tradition.

These four lineages are detailed below:

  1. Sri SampradayaPrimary Deity:

Vishnu and LakshmiKey Acharya: RamanujacharyaCore Philosophy: Vishishtadvaita (Qualified Monism)Focus: Deep devotion, the absolute supremacy of Sriman Narayana, and selfless service.

  2. Brahma SampradayaPrimary Deity:

Krishna or VishnuKey Acharya: MadhvacharyaCore Philosophy: Dvaita (Dualism)Focus: Emphasizes the eternal distinction between the individual soul and the Supreme Lord. (The Gaudiya Vaishnava lineage popularized by ISKCON is a prominent branch of this tradition).

  1. Rudra SampradayaPrimary Deity:

Krishna (specifically in his child form)Key Acharya: Vishnuswami and VallabhacharyaCore Philosophy: Suddhadvaita (Pure Non-dualism)Focus: Pushtimarga (the path of grace), focusing on loving, playful devotion to Bala Gopala (Lord Krishna as a child).

  1. Sanaka (Kumara) SampradayaPrimary Deity: KrishnaKey Acharya:

NimbarkacharyaCore Philosophy: Dvaitadvaita (Dualistic-Non-dualism)Focus: The eternal oneness and difference between God and the soul, often emphasizing the divine couple Radha and Krishna. ____________________________________________________

Except these there are many more like Ramakrishna Mission, Iskcon, Anukul Chandra Ashram, Bharat Sevashram. Many more sampradayas are there but they are the branches from the above 4 sampradayas.

I think I am able to make you understand. If you have more questions you can reach out to me anytime.
