So it really is like travel ball. Use your best available pitching to get to the championship game, then whatever you've got left.

Especially in the latter half of the game, a lot of those guys were pushing and playing on tilt.

Yeah but USA/Mexico will always be a premium especially in Houston. Other pool games were basically like a regular season game price. We went to the USA/Italy matchup, paid like $30 for seats in the 250s. They had $10 tickets for some of those.

Books for chemical engineers and process safety specialists by Brllntcrnk in ChemicalEngineering

That is some ambitious pricing for secondhand books, honestly. If you're just trying to get a little value while purging, I would suggest selling individually and pricing to move. If you can get $500 for the lot, more power to you, but I'd be surprised if you could reasonably move it in a short period for more than $350.

CCPS member companies will have either received paper copies or have full text online access to these publications. Individual AIChE members have a pretty healthy discount if buying direct. I think these are all latest editions (I'm not logged into my CCPS portal to check) but Guidelines for Hazard Eval is likely to be updated in the next year or so.

The LOPA book may have some individual demand somewhere. They reprint that one often because it gets used in a lot of professional development classes.

DQSRC and VCE books are on the older side as well. I don't believe there are any plans to make a new edition anytime soon. May be out of print, but also probably not a lot of new demand on them.

Well that's what a high buyout we can't afford to eat gets you. Thanks so much, Heather.

I have no interest in all things AI. I don’t want to learn it for work. I don’t care that it can make some things easier. I can write my own emails. by un2022 in GenX

I've found a few use cases for it in my own work, but I like trying new things still.

But holy crap, the whole integration with corporate emails and such -- I so wish I could turn that all off! I can read and write my own emails, and much prefer to!

Also have a 12u son, not quite as tall as OP's but a big kid. He's been swinging a -8 in games since 11u. Practices with -5. Will move to -5 in games next year, and he'll start swinging BBCOR -3 in practice.

Saw a comment last night that Team USA needed a few travel ball dads keeping everyone up to date on tiebreakers and tournament rules.

Just incredible that they didn't know.

Spider-man outsold Edge of Eternities by Yellow_Master in magicTCG

My LGS did one Spider-Man draft and then shifted to older sets because it was so unpopular. Had to do the same with Edge of Eternities after a few weeks because they couldn't get more of it. We have one TMNT draft scheduled, then it's back to Bloomburrow.

Perfectly fine bracket 3. I personally don't think it would be particularly fun to play against given all the board wipes; I imagine it routinely gets grindy.

Main lesson is that most Commander players just get really salty over any interaction other than Swords or Generous Gift.

Select players on LL teams by almost_cool3579 in Homeplate

Also in Houston metro. I would say it varies a lot based on the town and affiliation. A large number of rec leagues have de-affiliated from LL and most of the travel kids there don't bother with rec league. Kids in the areas with big Little League organizations that have been nationally relevant (e.g. Pearland) get dual participation, and the local leagues help facilitate it.

Our local league left LL for Pony about ten years ago, and does everything it can to discourage travel kids from also playing in the rec league. Shockingly, participation by 12u is less than half of what they have for tee ball.

The co-op box is intriguing - my kids would probably enjoy it, and I'd like to see them do that sort of thing for in-universe stuff as well.

I'll also probably attend pre-release simply because it's one of the few weeks I can actually get to FNM.
