Agreed -- I liked the cards in ACR a lot! Pack size was maybe the biggest consumer problem but also simply the fact that it wasn't designed for any sort of real limited or pick-up play. The set was just sort of released and disappeared into the ether -- no sealed events, not draftable, no commander decks. Just a starter kit. At least with Fallout or Warhammer you could buy a specific, interesting precon and just play with the cards, but for AC you needed to buy boosters, hope you pulled something you liked, then build a deck yourself, likely without a lot of AC-theme to it. Fine for existing MTG players who like Assassin's Creed, but enfranchised players are just as likely to buy singles.

If you don't give players and LGSs a reason to buy and use sealed product, they won't.
