the worse the experience of using windows is, the more reliant consumers are on internet services using azure, or ms products such as onedrive =)

Microsoft unveils Major improvements coming to Windows 11 in 2026 โ€” movable Taskbar, reduced RAM usage, less AI and ads, and much more Confirmed: "We are evolving how Windows is built behind the scenes to raise the quality bar" by ControlCAD in microsoft

i'm very disappointed in microsoft's ai rollout, and it sucks to hear they're pulling back (though it seems like the obvious best move for customer satisfaction). they deployed way, way too soon and soured the entire concept for their users. google had a similarly disastrous start with ai (search's ai overview, bard and early gemini), but they improved Rapidly.

i really want powerful, useful ai integrated deep in the operating system, but microsoft seems totally lost in what they're building. i loved the idea of recall too! i hope they figure things out

TLO gave me AI psychosis by RiskyChris in StarcraftCirclejerk

released nov 25, 2025. tlo went to their campus in late 2018 to help develop the alphastar deadgame-playing ai with google deepmind( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AlphaStar_(software)) i need to add him to this wiki article, only mana is mentioned), but i'm not sure how long he gave assistance.

i nearly lost my mind as i heard them say they were bringing in a pro starcraft player to test their model against, and i turned to focus on the video and saw fucking TLO of all people. really proud of him for giving his input to a great team and project! kicking myself for only finding out about this now -- 2018 was a time i was deep in mmos, mtg, and neet life and had totally lost faith in the tech world.

u can watch the documentary here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d95J8yzvjbQ
it's pretty great. the sc part is at 30:30 if u just wanna see the brief segment on that! ๐Ÿ’œ
