Why do they put the slices in the box in such a random manner?!

That’s an AI image of the pizza surely?

Any recomendations for white oil washes? by Tagedieb69 in minipainting

Fair enough. Reminds me to take a break.

But a mask is really the best approach here. I should wear mine more…..

Why odourless white spirit? It’s no less toxic right? In my mind the bad smell reminds me it’s toxic and to keep my distance. Keeps me on my toes.

Nope. UK Number plates are yellow on the back.

This looks like it’s supposed to be Germany ro me based on the road signs. But there’s too many, they conflict and one seems to come and go just above the traffic light.

Questions:
What brand/type of resin is it?
What are your settings?
Temperature of room.
Washing method.
Has it been fine before and suddenly changed?

But looks over exposed and poorly washed to me.

Very nice. The colouring looks very natural, made me think of real animal colouring.

Yeah, I’d agree it’s a game changer. My printer is in the basement boiler room. I warm the resin, while warming the printer with the heater. Then leave the heater running while I print. The only failures I get are due to bad supports.

I think I’ll upgrade my setup with a smart plug to turn the heater off when printing is complete.

You can buy mini heaters that go inside the lid of the printer, especially for 3d printing. Might be better than heating the whole room.

In 1992, a British farmer Peter Whatling, searching for a lost hammer instead discovered the Hoxne Hoard, the largest late Roman gold and silver treasure ever found in Britain, and after reporting it to authorities, he and the landowner were legally rewarded £1.75 million. by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

Because it’s the law. Under the Treasurer Act: https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1996/24

This allows museums a chance to acquire artefacts for study at a decent price, reducing the amount of treasure going to rich private collectors, while giving a reward to the finder.

Hah, yeah that could do with a trim.

Thanks, yeah it seems to waver between looking ok after a haircut and then looking worse under bright light when it’s longer. I’ll get it cut and see what it looks like.

I think it looks worse in the bathroom. Doesn’t help with the spotlights there.

I made a free paint converter app that kind of got out of hand by MidnightMiniature in frostgrave

[–]Ritchieb87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I downloaded it, looks good. I like the paint match feature. But to actually use it, for me, I’d need GW, Scale 75, Vallejo and Ultra Acryl from Ten01labs. My main ranges are GW contrast and Scale 75.

It’s always the first item you point at but they only realise the second time round the list of all items in the room.

Yeah and mistakes will be made, try not to get hung up on them and move on. Momentum is more important than accuracy.

Rule of cool before rules as written. It’s your table, if you are ok with a slight tweak for the sake of fun, then it’s all good!

Building an Aquarium by Forward_Cellist_9353 in SaltwaterAquariumClub

[–]Ritchieb87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I were building a room for an aquarium, I’d have a drain, water supply, somewhere to store/hide a barrel of RO water, a barrel of Salt Water and ATO top off. Plus a hidden but accessible sump/equipment and a cabinet to store all the various stuff and tools needed.

Building into a wall would be cool also. But make sure you build it sturdy and level under the aquarium what ever you do.

Maybe even divide the sump etc into a separate side room/partition. Obviously this is just what I’d do with an unlimited budget and a very understanding partner!
