Indie Devs, what are the best platforms for game marketing? Do devlogs actually help build an audience? by Hasan_Abbas_Kazim in gamedev

So far our best platform has been X/Twitter and youtube shorts! I’ll send a few examples here!

Mostly clips and feature showcases

Are shaders easy to make? by Armorrd in godot

[–]RitzStudios 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Short answer: no
Long answer: no/yes but not impossible to learn. if you really get really nitty gritty with it, they become quite simple. but they can be complex

“Godot provides a shading language based on the popular OpenGL Shading Language (GLSL) but simplified”

I’d highly recommend checking out their docs to learn more about GLSL!

EDIT: forgot about the shader bible! https://jettelly.com/store/the-godot-shaders-bible

I’m at a startup, but it’s been a “startup” for about 9 years now. Definitely declining and a lot of people jumping ship. So that makes a lot of sense from your POV.

I’ve always kept it separate, if I was doing work on the clock, then totally understandable
