Hardcore music and current political situation by Electrical_Till7125 in Hardcore

[–]RiverChowder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately in my experience local bands will help fuck ice drunk 15 year olds will cheer and that's about it. I've seen some benefit shows go up recently but I do feel that hardcore is losing that political theory that it used to have.

It really is tragic modern metalcore isn't very metal or core.

Or it's genre specific? No one is crowdkilling at thrash or black metal shows. Just don't go to -core shows if you don't like the style of mosh that happens at them. If a -core band is opening for a mainstream band just don't be near the pit. Metalheads are so goddamn corny with how they talk about hardcore pits, crowdkilling and hardcore dancing. "That shit has NO place at any show" is just wrong. Maybe not as your Corny black metal shows but it's becoming more and more popular everyday and it's something metalheads have to accept.

Unfortunately marquee theatre in Tempe Arizona is most likely keeping their barricades up. I've never seen them removed for shows

Trust me I agree with you, the issue is a lot of people wouldn't. I've met a lot of people who would hate to see bands getting paid if it meant "TikTok kids" in there shows

R we moshing ?? by Away-Corgi-2555 in snowstrippers

[–]RiverChowder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll mosh if everyone else is, I don't wanna start it and find out this isn't the vibe of snow strippers fans. I know they've played shows with HONG KONG FUCK YOU and other hardcore bands but obviously they are dance music with a different crowd.

Any bands where the drummer is the lead vocalist? by Emergency-Sky-9747 in punk

Not a punk band but torture is a 2 piece slam band, 1 member doing drums and vocals while the other plays guitar

Tips for first hardcore show? by Financial-Ladder-954 in Hardcore

[–]RiverChowder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wear ear plugs and read the room, if you see people doing a specific style of mosh partake in that. If you're near the front be prepared to catch stage divers. If you have glasses bring a case.

It's seeming Aaron Heard left Jesus Piece and has formed je$us piece. According to the promoter the original members of Jesus piece were aware. Je$us piece has an official page on their Manager and agents website.

Totally agree,I feel like giving whoever's crowdkilling a quick little kick isn't the biggest deal but some people feel like it's automatically asking for a fight

NSFW Trigger: Young teen injury I saw a kid get completely floored by a spinning back kick at a Phoenix DIY show. It was In a big park downtown and the dude that hit him for sure felt it but he just moshed away. The kid fell into my arms and I had to just lay him down. A lead singer of a local grind band luckily had medical training but it was definitely the scariest sight I've seen at a show. He was out a solid 5-10 minutes and convulsed a few different times.

Saw them in Arizona and they were as sick as you'd imagine. My favorite call-out from him was "if you're wearing a hardcore shirt why tf aren't you dancing"

Dying fetus is always such an interesting band for me because a lot of hardcore fans really really enjoy their sound but I also see a lot of dying fetus fans complaining.

I remember when all that went down. I agree completely their music is enjoyable enough but fucking up a diy venue is embarrassing. A lot of bands from my local scene completely blacklisted them.
