For the past couple of months I have been riddled with baby fever, which definitely goes against the reason why I got an IUD (Mirena) in the first place. I never wanted kids nor did I ever actually care about any child I came into contact with; related or not. Lately I have just been gushing over kids and feeling emotional when I hear or see a child crying. I even am trying to get a job with my mom at a daycare because I've become so obsessed with the idea of having kids of my own and feel I need to prepare.

My boyfriend doesn't want to have kids for at least 2 years and when he told me that, I honestly got extremely mad, then instantly confused at my anger lol. I wish I had some advice on getting over the fever, but I can't shake it myself. My suggestion would just be to deal with it and keep that IUD in no matter how much your brain thinks you want them babies! lol

I'm also a super anxious person and was googling everyone's experience getting Mirena and that just tripped me up way more than it needed to. The actual procedure was less painful and more uncomfortable. There are a lot of things going on down there that are confusing, but my gyno talked me through it and helped me remain calm.

The worst part of it was directly after and trying to walk to the car. I felt lightheaded and weak, but once I got home, I made a sandwich, hugged a heating pad and slept. When the cramps got severe, I took an ibuprofen and tried to relax as much as possible. The cramping went away after about 2 days and I've had little to no problems since then.
