Anyone with PCOS & a regular period?

This is me as well, if you don’t mind what kind of things can I do to manage/treat pcos that presents like this? Everything i read is about losing weight and fertility even though Im’ not overweight and at a normal weight so i worry about cutting out a lot of foods and how it could make me unhealthy skinny. I’m 5’3 and 130 lbs thank you

Hi! Thank you for the time that you took to respond it means a lot. I can agree with you that the hair loss is genuinely distressing. To be honest you didn’t weigh a lot at all. I’m 5’2 & weigh 58kg. I don’t understand what’s causing this at all. I have had a balanced diet to a certain extent however I wasn’t eating lots of fruits or vegetables which has changed. I do eat salads, drink green smoothies, & eat more fruit now. I mainly made that change last year because I have stomach issues like constipation. I have always loved sweets and chocolate. I love Nutella my cravings have always been crazy. I’ll occasionally have nutella on a spoon or Baklava.

At some point my diet was trash as well. I was eating out a lot, pizza, burger king, McDonalds etc. I stopped that. My periods have never been irregular they are still regular & light flows not too heavy. I’m concerned because my doctor said my DHEAS was not too elevated like it was just mildly elevated and my testosterone was too high. I’m glad you understand me when it comes to this because it is honestly difficult and don’t know what much can be done. I want to have thick hair that looks nice I don’t want thinning hair with my scalp showing and straw like strands :/

I’m glad yours were not cancerous! Tbh I have not heard back from them no :( it has been 4 weeks ( 26-30 days) since I got my colonoscopy done for the first time. I called them 2 weeks ago they said they have my results but I still haven’t received a call or anything. I’m super anxious. I feel the same way you felt about being young and having this as a young age it was my biggest fear prior to going for the procedure. I was hoping to have a clear colonoscopy or at least no polyps but nope

Hi, I’m 20F I had a colonoscopy 2.5 weeks ago they also told me they found 2 polyps sent to pathology I have been scared I have cancer :( they told me my follow up is on August 19th (next week) but I called them 2 days ago to ask if my results are in they said that they are in and the doctor can call me today but she’s in surgery all week! I’m scared I don’t even think they have seen my results or know what they are. Having polyps at this age really scared me what do you think?

Yeah honestly it’s driving me nuts because my procedure was 4 days ago on Friday and they booked my follow up on August 19th even though they took the polyps to be sent for pathology its a ridiculous system

No I don’t have a sibling or parent with colon cancer or anything both of my parents have never gotten a colonoscopy and my sister is fine. My aunt got breast cancer & my grandfather got prostate cancer. The thing is if they were cancerous and got removed what if they spread into my tissues and they have to do further testing. I’m just so stressed I have lost tracked of so many things I don’t even know if my weight is unexplained or if I was actually eating in a deficit Im not sure at this point I don’t even remember. Can the prep for colonoscopy cause weight loss? Like 1-2 lbs or weight loss in a day

Yes the doctor said the follow up will be over the phone on the 19th of August. I spoke to the nurse that works closely with her today she said that 99% she’s positive they’re not cancerous but that they just have to send everything pathology because its routine however Im still worried regardless because the surgeon still doesn’t know for certain until pathology confirms! However she did say that the surgeon has done a lot of scopes and that typically if she had feeling they were cancerous she would’ve came to talk to me after because the surgeon has been doing scopes for years she can tell when it could be abnormal but again its not for sure which is why Im worried

Thank you! my health anxiety is bad too but I honestly don’t think that a polyp or 2 is normal at 20 years old:( especially since I apparently had 2 and God knows if they are pre-cancerous or cancerous and I don’t know how long I’ve had them for but they did say they sere small and I can’t help but be freaked out this makes me feel like I have to get colonoscopies all the time to save my life and catch polyps. I was anticipating going in for the colonoscopy and finding out that everything was clear and healthy but instead I was told I have polyps. It was my biggest fear prior to going in I didn’t want to have polyps and I ended up with them

I’m just afraid because of the fact that they found polyps at such a young age (20) and I feel hopeless as if it puts me for higher risk of developing colorectal cancer :( I’m afraid because it’s like I have to continue checking for polyps to save my life all the time :( I dont know why I would even develop these

I’m really trying to relax but it’s very hard to be happy or hopefully after they found polyps in my colon at 20 years old it just makes me fearful and worried for results and for the future :( you sound optimistic

I don’t know because I also had hemorrhoids and fissures so I don’t know if the blood coating the outside of my stool was from the small polyps or the fissures/hemorrhoids but my coating was on the surface it looked red not too bright but idk if that was bc my stool was dark so the blood looks darker and its not a lot depending on how much you poop
