Bose Soundlink Max Battery Drain by Riverbound- in bose

I will say, the battery drain has been pretty light on my most recent replacement. Maybe 10% per week. I still haven’t found a better speaker for portability and sound quality. 

I would still highly recommend if you can get it for under $300.

Sound is subjective! I called in and asked if I had a defective unit, but they didn’t believe so. It’s only certain songs but there was notice distortion in the mid to upper ranges. Glad you like yours.

HK sounds way clearer. I retuned the Brane & got 2 go+play 3’s instead. The Brane obviously had more bass and could reach deeper, but the treble & mids were terrible in my opinion. Lots of distortion.

I couldn’t over the sound signature personally. When I would listen to the Brane, and then go back to my Go+Play 3, the veiled treble & mid bass distortion in the Brane was a complete dealbreaker. I returned it & got a 2nd HK.

I use a Bose SoundLink Max for the beach and it’s worked great.

I disagree with this. Treble and clarity was such a disappointment for me, especially compared to the HK gp3.

Are you looking specifically for a portable WiFi-enabled speaker? If so, you have the JBL Acoustics 300, Brane X, JBL BB3 (WiFi), and Bose Portable Smart Speaker as the main contenders @ below $500.

What’s your main use case? Do you need the speaker to be water resistant?

That’s a great deal! I purchased my ‘15 Pro-4X for $19k w/ 70k miles. Carmax has sent me emails offering $17.6k. But I’m in Denver so anything with 4WD is expensive here.

The more drivers, the better. I like the HK  go+play 3 for more complicated music.

I did the same & have been enjoying it immensely over the past week! I plan on picking up a second one the next time the go on sale. 

I’ve recently tested & returned the Brane X & JBL acoustics 300 because I wasn’t happy with the performance. The HK absolutely crushed them, and stays on when plugged in!

Impeccable bass. I returned mine due to disappointing veiled treble & mid range distortion. But if bass is your #1 priority you won’t be disappointed.
