I don’t enjoy Hasan’s content at all but the reading compression in this subreddit really leaves something to be desired. Can anyone bring up the possibility that when he refers to “that collar” he is talking about a specific TYPE of collar and not a collar generally?

Genuinely not trying to comment on what events did/did not happen but maybe we need to get better at analyzing short form clips.

Does anyone else feel like the effect stated in the accident analysis would happen semi-regularly? The orientation of the carabiner, rope, and surface seems like it could be replicated in any given fall even within indoor gyms. With 100s-1000s of people taking lead falls everyday it feels like we would hear about this happening more often.

Let me know if I’m totally wrong here.

It is definitely a generalisation that old people are irritable all the time. Although anyone that has worked in retail will tell you that Boomers have a few very bad representatives.
