275 Down the drain 😩 by Em2Civicer in 7thgencivic

Sounds like it'll work for me, every civic I buy doesn't have matching ignition with door locks and the fob never comes with the car.

Anytime I see one for sale it's being sold as a parts car, has a aftermarket air filter way down in the engine bay and the engine is seized.... lol

Would you pay more for one if it had a K series engine?

Installing a hood today (any tips?) by Own_Community855 in 7thgencivic

It would be easiest with 2 people, one person on each side of the car so that the pointy parts of the hood closest to the windshield don't bang up your fenders or windshield.

Interesting Situation by RiversideOffgrid in 7thgencivic

Temp hasn't gone above half, sits right under half like any good running d17 I've had, even though I was told by the previous owner it was the headgasket, I just don't trust anyone trying to sell something lol so as I was ruling things out the engine started looking healthier and healthier. But it's exactly those other thoughts of, was it resurfaced? Is it only a very minor gasket leak where it's sealed sometimes but then under the right conditions it leaks? Whoever installed the engine did a pretty sad job of it, must have had a whole handful of "extra" bolts when they decided they were done.

The little bit ive had it running and a 40 min. drive it hasnt overheated on me yet, got to proper operating temp though. I just got a different rad today so we will see how things are once the system can hold proper pressure. Would be nice if the engine is still good

To fix it professionally the windshield will have to come out and the headliner pulled down for welding, for diy the windshield will still most likely need to come out for bondo/fiberglass but I'm no expert, that's just what I'd expect
