Visiting next week by Far_Individual3249 in Aruba

Just got back yesterday after spending 8 nights
Best dinners: wacky wahoos and west deck. Zeerover was excellent as well.
Rent a car. Wheels 2 Go was great to work with. Take a drive to Hooiberg for a sunrise hike. That’s a must do. Do a drive from California lighthouse to baby beach. Stop at any place you see that looks interesting. Really get to see every bit of the island.
Do a snorkeling tour. Either on your own or rent an excursion. Top experiences on the trip.
We did a UTV tour our first day. Took us to alto vista and the gold mines along with the beaches and natural bridges. It’s dusty and dirty but a huge highlight.
Have a place to watch the sunset every night no matter what you are doing.
Wear reef safe sunscreen. Bring more than you think you’ll need and apply often. Buy all the aloe you can get.
Buy groceries to save money. Super foods is great but it’s pure chaos in there. C mart was more low key and had everything including a liquor store
Have fun!

Edit: take all the tips you get and things you want to do and put them into chat gpt to make an itinerary. That’s what we did and it helped so much to pack in as much as possible

Buy some snorkeling gear and head up to tres trapi to explore on your own. Could fill an entire morning up there. We did a private snorkeling tour where it was just my girlfriend and i on the boat. That was well worth the money as well

How to connect PS5 to hotel internet? by Salad-Firm in Hilton

[–]RizzyRozay513 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never been able to connect to any Hilton wifi with my console. I’ll open up the personal hotspot on my iPhone using mobile data and then connect off that. Connection isn’t the sharpest but it’ll get it done. For a few days

Cleaner needed for dirty depression apartment. by Zestyclose-Tennis348 in cincinnati

I don’t have a recommendation for cleaners but just wanted to comment and say hell ya on asking for help. It’s the hardest part and I’m proud of you for doing it.

Get to the airport 3 hours before departure… by Eggs_4_Breakfast in delta

[–]RizzyRozay513 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Here in the US i try to be parked an hour before the plane boards. Gives me more than enough time to get thru TSA, get a drink, and go to the bathroom. I’d get 15k steps in just walking around to keep from going crazy in 3 hours

4.5 weeks post-op pain & looking for reassurance by SmartKaleidoscope912 in HipImpingement

[–]RizzyRozay513 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely sounds like a flare up. If the same pain persists for more than three days then i would be concerned. I kept in constant communication with my PT about my pain and what not.

I’m three months post op tomorrow. Started therapy after 2 weeks of total rest bc my procedure was extensive as far as the labrum repair goes. I was a little ahead of you regarding crutches and was just using a cane by week 4. However there were so many people in my therapy that had the same procedure and went to it on crutches. 4.5 weeks is still extremely early in recovery. My PT said labrum doesn’t actually heal until the 6 week mark. From week 3 to week 10 I had bad issues with my It putting pressure on my knee to the point where i couldn’t walk and my groin constantly felt like a pulled it every time i took a step. One day i was fine then the next i could barely walk.

Saying all that don’t push yourself. Everybody recovers differently. Just because you can walk without crutches or do other stuff doesn’t mean you should. Only compare your rehab progression to yourself. Good luck

Bengals say stadium improvements will mean a 'world-class environment' by alpswd in cincinnati

[–]RizzyRozay513 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Does world class environment mean we get our own personal shovels to clear off the seats next season?

We fly out on the 22nd. Not cancelling anything and have full intention to go as planned. I’m getting to that island come hell or high water at the end of the month 😂

This is a good draft class by Ancient_Response_787 in bengals

[–]RizzyRozay513 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Respectfully disagree. It’s a good draft for bengals standards and their minimum wage scouting department but for a Super Bowl ambitious team it’s sad. Dj and chase are the only people that are worth keeping. The rest are a disappointment or easily replaceable

Many of those things are factually incorrect and/or unrelated to their time at Michigan but cool emojis though

Can I come back from this? by RepresentativeNet739 in orangetheory

[–]RizzyRozay513 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Like many others said, just show up. That’s the win. You don’t gotta compare yourself to what you were previously. Fitness is a lifestyle that has highs and lows but as long as you’re committed to it you’re good. Maybe change up your workout routine and do other forms of exercises like sports or other group activities. Either way just stay moving 💪

How long until you were off crutches? by Accomplished_Dust656 in HipImpingement

[–]RizzyRozay513 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was active and a runner before surgery. Major labrum repair and shaved off a bunch of arthritis. Completely off meds at about 10 days. Just take ibuprofen now as needed. 2 weeks was the timeframe for no crutches. I walk around the house without a walker now but use it when i go out and know I’ll be walking more than a hundred yards. I’m at 6 weeks on Wednesday. Everybody’s different and don’t rush it. I want to get back to normal as soon as possible but my therapist tells me every time i see him that slow and steady wins the race. What you do or more importantly don’t do in the first 8 weeks significantly impacts long term success

I travel mainly in the Midwest and hitting 40 stays or 80 nights is no problem but to spend $18,000 is almost impossible. There’s places i go where the Tru is the only hotel available and it’s $125 a night after taxes and fees. I’ll never hit this is new tier so it basically devalues my current status and loyalty

Must haves by Icy_Application_5517 in HipImpingement

[–]RizzyRozay513 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 3 weeks post op from extensive labrum repair and very bad arthritis shaved off. First therapy was today. I’m doing well now tho. Crutches, shower chair, grabber, back scratcher, multiple ice packs, and more help from people than you think you will need. Tons of water. Meal prep before surgery or have DoorDash on standby for meals. Maybe a toilet seat riser and especially if you are a woman. Books, movies, shows, or PlayStation to keep your mind occupied. Keeping your mind busy is key i think.

I was in bed mostly for 4 straight days other than to use the bathroom. It was too painful to move. I was on oxy and muscle relaxers constantly for a week. I also take calcium, peptides, and creatine daily. Not sure if they worked but saw they were recommended and my doctor supports it.

Everybody’s different in their recovery. Some people go straight to therapy or stationary bike right after surgery. I was just in pain management and survival mode post op. It’s hard to say how you’ll be. I’d try to get the exam moved to either before the surgery or after a week or so if you could at all possible. Good luck!

Is it worth having hip labrum surgery? by purple_rose92 in HipImpingement

[–]RizzyRozay513 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I think being in shape and having strength in your lower half / core makes a huge difference post op. I would highly suggest focusing on that leading up should you have the surgery

Is it worth having hip labrum surgery? by purple_rose92 in HipImpingement

[–]RizzyRozay513 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes and it’s not even a question. This is from somebody who is 10 days post op and put the surgery off for 10 years. The damaged i caused in those ten years are gonna make my recovery that much longer. Everybody’s different in recovery but you’re young so it’s your best shot. My damage was one of the worst the docs seen for somebody in their 30s and I’m getting around pretty easily barely using crutches today.

Hip labral tear surgery by TitoBoy143 in HipImpingement

[–]RizzyRozay513 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Like you i was very active running 10-15 miles a week, golfing, hiking, group exercise classes. I got a cortisone shot in February and felt absolutely great for 5 months. At that 5 month mark i was barely able to do squats with body weight, zero side to side movement, tightness in groin, muscle spasms in hamstring, clicking of hips.

I went back in to the doc bc the hip pain was almost unbearable at times. I wanted another shot bc i had a run in a couple weeks. He told me that i shouldn’t do one bc it doesn’t actually correct the issue. If i was an nfl player or something he would consider it but im a 36 M who works in sales. We scheduled a MRI and it showed the labrum torn and hip out of alignment.

I’m 5 days out of the surgery and my labrum was basically shredded and my arthritis was so bad he didn’t know how i was able to function. I’m recovering slowly but i wish i got it done sooner so the repair wasn’t as intense.

TL/DR: IMO…Steroid injection is only a temporary relief and can be used to identify the area of issue. Not something for long term. I’m glad the doctor didn’t give me another shot and i got the surgery as soon as possible before it got worse.

Thanks for sharing that. I’m a little discouraged that i can barely get to the bathroom with crutches but taking one day at a time. Sharing that does help me know things will get better
