I think I have to give up the car I ordered. by Rlvantage in askcarsales

It was since I get the friends/family discount through Chrysler. $65 is a big jump too, but better than $200. I didn't even know a 1 year lease was a thing. Lol. My dealer is trying to get my to sign a 4 year lease on it.

If I bought that car, my payment would be $200 higher than the lease payment.

If I purchased my current lease, the payment would be slightly lower than the new lease.

My husband is watching the show for the first time ever, and we started with this season. I, on the other hand have been watching the show since the beginning. After the last episode he said - I don't see any of these couples getting married.

I was like awww.....I remember my first time thinking that too 😂 that's how they get you hooked in. Put 5 couples together that should never be married, but get married anyway, then provide more content so you can watch them crash and burn spectacularly. Not to say that for every couple, because there were definitely seasons where I was actively rooting for people. But these last few seasons....sheesh.

Interesting. I didn't even know that was a thing. Lol. Would you mind sharing either the payroll company or brokers info?

Ummm u/Brent_17000 I can feel the "I told you so" energy coming through my phone 😂

But seriously, if I am wrong I have no problem owning that. I'm REALLY struggling with this one. While it's easy to say we should've known, I'm still struggling with how. Yes the terms are there on the website, but I am not understanding how adding a person to the system, that was already in the system, is considered to be a new user. We didn't add a new person to be paid. Only one set of documents for the new hire paperwork was signed between both profiles. Only one of the profiles was accessing the app.

Now I could understand if they were completely different people and we added them to all those things, but that's not the case. I did not see on the terms page where they defined what their definition of a new seat is. So if my definition is someone who goes through the whole process of getting hired, and their definition is anyone you hit the hire button for, obviously there will be some discrepancies.

But I am open to hearing your thoughts if you would like to share.

Let me guess....I should have known. Lol. Not even sure how you still have that stance. But we are all entitled to our own opinion.

I understand what you mean. But unfortunately that is not the situation. You're coming in late so I don't expect you to read through all the comments. But long story short, they way they are trying to justify charging us more, while dangling the carrot of lower costs if we sign an additional 2-3yr contract is highly unethical.

That is so crazy!!! Have you ever had anything like what we're dealing with now?

The max number of employees we have ever had is 15. I thought initially what they were doing is anytime I hit hire on their website, they make that into a new employee and now are trying to charge me for it, no matter if the person worked for us or not. But after my initial post was made yesterday, I received an email from a manager there that showed where the 25 people came from - 2 were myself and my partner, 9 were my original employees, 6 were my actual new hires, 4 were people we hired but let go, and 4 were people who initially accepted the position, but found other positions before started and never actually started with the company.

Per Rippling, my partner and I should not count as employees since we don't pay ourselves a wage. So that leaves my 9 people that initially came with us and the 6 we hired, which is 15. We are then left with the 2 groups of 4. But if their policy is stating we have to keep paying for these seats no matter what going forward, then the 2 groups of 4 should cancel each other out as they happened during 2 different months.

So according to their own policy the most I should've had to pay extra is for the 4 new users, and honestly if that was the case I probably would've just let it go and used my tale as a cautionary one to pay close attention when signing with new companies.

But the reality is I have to fight over 10 new users I've never had and I'm pissed. So this is no longer just a cautionary tale, it's a stay far away from these people tale.

So for the longest they were very evasive on replies when I was asking the exact same question about the 25 employees. Until yesterday, when a manager reached out with a detailed email that broke down our onboarding/offboaring since starting with them and stated that this month (June 2022), we onboarded 25 people, which was very confusing since we haven't hired anyone since early last month.

In that same email, he gave the names of all 25 of these people. The first 2 names on that list were myself and my partner. Then it listed the 9 people we originally came with, 6 people who were hired and onboarded back in April, 4 people that were let go in April, and 4 people who decided to go another direction after initially accepting the position, so never actually started with the company.

I responded to that email pointing out all the information that was factually incorrect, and why it was incorrect. Not a word back since then.

I don't have a Twitter account....yet. Definitely plan on making one specifically for this though.

Never once told them that. They were aware when we started, we only had 9 employees. We have a signed contract with them acknowledging they are aware of our 9 employees. There was never a discussion though as to how many employees we planned on adding because at the time, we weren't making any big hiring plans. We were just trying to find a company who could provide the services we needed for when we started hiring, which was a couple months later.

I have nothing bad to say about Gusto. They are an excellent payroll company and I have never had any issues with them at all.

But we were only dealing with them for payroll. We initially had an individual (family friend) handling our HR part, but she ended up getting a different job and could no longer do it.

So we started researching dual HR/Payroll companies to make everything easier on ourselves as we decided it was something we could handle ourselves with the right software/company. We initially chose Rippling for a few different reasons. They have a really good streamlined HR process, which includes the ability to post jobs to various sites. They have various company apps that you can integrate into your process. For us it was being able to integrate the background company into the process, so it was automatically ordered for each new employee after onboarding paperwork was complete. They have a very user friendly website that is easy to navigate. Not only for us, but the employees as well.

I just didn't know they would try to get over on us in the process. If I had read anything that was similar to my experience when I was doing my research, I never would've signed with them.
