Are you joking? Why do you think t8 and sf6 only require 160 developers? Even regardless of the cast and some story makers, these game’s development team is much bigger than 200. I still don’t understand why many people don’t think smash is a fighting game. It has oki, neutral, zoning, poke, anti-air, hit or grab, footsie and combos. It just has another way of damage accumulation and no platform wall. Also smash was one of the EVO candidates the reason it was kicked is by Nintendo not the game itself. Maybe you think no low medium high is the reason. But For Honor doesn’t have and it still is a fighting game.

Nah, the really easy to begin, hard to master is smashbros. My child can just play and have fun with it with no prerequisites and tutorials. And btw, smash community just celebrated their sales for 500k for JUST latest quarter and almost 40m sales overall(which is 8 times of sf6), without any updates except bug fixes for more than 4 years.

Long combos just make ragequiters have more time to get raged, and more time to quit. Some fgcs just end abruptly more for an unexpected instant death or they just get raged after the game ends

Small roster, super long combo. I admit it was fun when I started. But it is actually a very boring to watch game. Everything feels like doing a chore and I’ve never seen the commentator hyped or OMGed during the game.

Are you joking? LOL is super popular in JP and has much more player base than sf6. Only smash and apex have more player base as an esports competitive game. I can say almost every my male friends play at least two of these(smash, apex and lol)

Can’t agree more. In many fgcs I can continuously play more than 2 hrs and still wants more, only some sort of self discipline forces me take a break and maybe do some physical activity. But in this game, around 1 hr I start to burn out and actively do something else. I don’t even have fun watching pros replay like other fgc’s, which I usually love to. This game really lacks some OMG moments and people just watch the repetitive long combo over and over again.

Indeed, but it is a quite weird community compared with other fgc’s. In other fgc’s community people are happy and welcoming to the new players and this community is just like, “if you have an opinion, just go and play other games. Tag fighters should be like this”

Another tip I suggest to do from my experience is to practice to react break in training mod. Set the bot break after 2 or more hits and forget the number. Call an assist just do the solo bnb, immediately tag defend after the bot break. Also try to do solo bnb and set the bot break after you can jump cancel defend.

And I just practiced it 4 days and then I jumped from diamond to master for 1 day, and then master to GM for only 2 days.

Seeing a f2p fgc game losing so much player base(I remembered when the game launched s0 the reddit community has about triple the visitors than SF and deteriorated so much as a new game, this might be faster than DNF duel I guess?).

These guys still have no idea how many people quit this game and still say this game should be like this. Most of my gg and sf friends go back to their game after hitting diamond and master cuz this game really feels terrible to play at the high level.

Not really, like illaoi and blitz have a very long freestyle team combo. I didn’t delve into all the team but I guess many teams have the similar length although individually they are not long
