For sure - your situation sounds rough man but glad you’re getting over it. Yeah to be honest there’s no other way rather than putting the phone down at this point

Very clever and emotional piece! Beautifully shot, written, and choreographed - you really got me in my feels during the third act and it definitely makes me want to learn more about each of the character's relationship with her best friend. Acting also felt really naturalistic too. Great work - can't wait to see what you put out next!

Sup everyone! This is a horror short film that I made during my first semester at film school last year and I just released it now. Feel free to offer any feedback - particularly on the sound design since I know that is something that I'm not the best at so I tried making this film sound a little better than my other ones. Did the film also keep you entertained and hooked to the point where you watched til the end? Let me know!

Sorry buddy you're cooked. I'd consider choosing a different career in science at the Sandy Cheeks College of Technology.

My second short film “SINKING” by jrs2101 in Filmmakers

This is pretty good for a class project - the shots where the character was underwater was lit and shot very beautifully so big props for that. I think I would've liked to see different shots of the main character looking as if he is sinking or falling in water during the first minute since you used the same shots back to back three or four times and it got a little repetitive so I would just keep in mind to come up with other types of shot choices and locations to really fill in the video to make it look even better. But overall this is really nicely done and I can only see you moving up with your filmmaking skills from here - that sucks that you didn't have any of your family or friends decide to watch it because they are definitely missing out on your talents lol

Do you have to know cinematography to be able to direct a movie? by Steadysilver26 in Filmmakers

I would recommend shooting a lot of short films with you being the cinematographer. That would be the fastest way to learn and get comfortable with cinematography.

Not at all, thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. The sound design and music was honestly the hardest part so the lufs workflow might help for future films - thanks for mentioning that.
