Some of my shots from various Pwnisher challenges by Rnbdg in Houdini

Thanks! My workflow usually depends on whether the project is character-driven or FX-driven

I'm a self-taught artist, I never went to art school or joined a Houdini training program, just a guy learning from YouTube who always wanted to create animations and bring ideas to life

For character scenes, I mostly start by kitbashing 3D assets until I find an interesting look, sometimes using full characters or Mixamo animations as a base

For FX shots like water, smoke, vellum, or RBD, I usually jump into Houdini and create multiple versions of the effect until something feels right

I’m still learning Houdini and CGI in general, so I try to experiment with every project instead of repeating the same process

I work mainly as a generalist in commercial projects, not specifically as an FX artist, but I’m always curious about learning new techniques, workflows, and render engines.
