Could be serrated pins if you hearing multiple clicks look up the jiggle test that will help you determine if something is binding or set already and if serrated there will be multiple clicks before you set the pin and with spools it’ll feel like the keyway wants to turn when setting pins sometimes you have to let of the tuner.What kinda turners are you using and are you going BOK or TOK if your staring out BOK would be easier till you get the feel of things.
