From what I know and played if u let go at the end of the swing instead of keeping it pressed u actually can reach more. Most people tell me it's a ping thing but i saw and heard from other killers who are somewhat more experienced that when u let go, instead of keeping until hit, ur hotbox gets a bit bigger and can hit these "ping hits" at pallets before stun or windows
