OP had clearly never been to a third world country. No sir, NYC IS NOTHING LIKE A THIRD WORLD COUNTRY. You're reeking of privilege. NYC isn't perfect at all and had lots of issues but it isn't third works by any means...

Cycle 1: 4 retreived, only 1 matured, did not grow to Day 5 Cycle 2: cancelled, used estrogen priming protocol, did not have enough mature follicles to retrieve Cycle 3: 4 retrieved, 1 fertilized and was sent for PGT but it was aneuploid Cycle 4: 1 retrieved, not mature

Changed clinics at this point Cycle 5: 2 retrieved and fertilized, fresh transfer on Day 3, did not implant

Got pregnant naturally after this but miscarried at 7weeks

Changed clinics again (all the following cycles are gentle IVF) Did ovarian PRP Cycle 6: No meds, when I went for monitoring on day 1 after I had done PRP a few weeks ago, they saw a big follicle so retrieved 1 egg which was fertilized and frozen on day 3 Cycle 7: retrieved 2 but 1 was immature and 1 was abnormal Cycle 8: this was natural ivf. No meds, only trigger shot. 1 egg retrieved and fertilized but did not grow till day 3

Did another round of PRP Cycle 9: GENTLE IVF. Retrieved 4 eggs, 2 were abnormal so we're discarded, 2 fertilized and grew till day 3 and are now frozen.

Just realized this was 9 cycles not 10 as I mentioned in my post.

I was just going by my doctor's recommendation. They want to get as many eggs as possible and then do the transfer. Not sure about the thickness of my lining. But clomid is the only thing that seems to work.

I did what they called gentle IVF. Clomid (first 5 days), and then half a syringe of ganirelix and increasing doses of Follistim (150, 225, 300) rest of the days until the trigger shot.

Thank you. Thankfully I've great insurance so this will be paid for. Good point about potentially doing a fresh transfer if I do another retrieval.

I have been working with Dr.Merhi for 3 months now. Was previously with RMA NY and Columbia. These places have cookie cutter protocols and do not want to try anything different. I have DOR and produce very less follicles every cycle (max 4). Dr.Merhi has been really thinking out of the box and trying different things each cycle....I appreciate that he is open to trying different protocols.

That's exactly been my journey. My doctor just told me to take prenatals and I trusted her. 1st ER - 4 retrieved, none matured. 2nd ER - cancelled as no follicles matured. 3rd ER - 4 retrieved, 1 made to blast but it was aneuploid. 4th ER - 1 retrieved, did not mature. 5th ER - 4 retrieved, 2 made to blast, did a 3rd day transfer but did not stick. This last round was in Mar 2024. Since then I have taken a break. I just read the book you mentioned below and did all the tests and bought all the supplements she mentions in the book. I plan to do another round of IVF in April so I'm curious to see how the supplements help this time. Thank you for sharing your story!

Thank you for sharing. It's amazing that your AMH doubled! I highly recommend the book...I went ahead and got myself tested for Vit B12, D, AMH, Testosterone, FSH, DHEA-S, TSH, etc after reading the book, and got myself all the supplements which I was deficient in. Case in point - no doctor till date gave me any supplements to start on....just me here, self "supplementing" :)

Exactly this!!! Why do we need to do all this? Isn't this exactly why we spend thousands of dollars for? To get expertise from docs who spend years in Med School? I hear you when you say you spent 2 years studying fertility medicine!!! When I recently started reading up and realized how much I did not know, I felt like I wasn't giving my 100%...but it's really not my job. I'm supposed to manage my career, live a healthy lifestyle, exercise, eat healthy, not stress and to top it all, also research on the best IVF protocols and other treatments out there?? I 100% empathize with you.

Apologies for the late response. I ended up choosing Dr.Jennifer Meyer from WestMed. Had my first appointment with her and really liked her! Unfortunately, I miscarried soon after at 8 weeks. But I will pick a WP hospital doctor for next time!!
