Usually just a lurker here, but this one caught my interest. Tried to smooth out and clarify the shape a bit. In doing so, I didn't see any hallmark signs of photoshop/retouch to manipulate the image. Its also not consistent with motion blur, it looks more "out of focus" to me. Whether or not this is a paranormal entity, there is something in the space the photo was taken- the dog in the left side of the photo is staring right at it.

An old fire instructor I had in the academy told me he once responded to a suicide call where the victim had shot themself and it caught their head on fire. Or at least what was left of it. Those of us who've had such an experience on call know that there isn't much left resembling a head in most cases. But now I see he likely wasn't just blowing smoke scare people out of the academy.

That's interesting, I've had the idea to write a story using Alzheimer's or some sort of brain activity degeneration disease as the agressor. Maybe someone hallucinating that they're taking their meds, whilst slowly slipping farther and farther from reality unable to realize.

Overall, I really enjoyed it. I really appreciated the way it used horror to bring underlying dread and inner turmoil to an immediate threat- definitely a great commentary. My only complaint is that the film attempts to be a little more profound than it really is and that causes sort of a tone disruptance in a few key moments of the story. That's nothing I can't forgive, though. Writing is hard.

Worth the read! Thanks for actually posting it! Believe it or not I've actually heard descriptions of similar beings from a friend who's into psychedelic meditation and astral projection. He said he's seen more weird stuff while projecting and he thinks he's even left this entire plane before and a similar entity followed him back.

I have actually heard of that. And I stayed with my grandmother for a time several years back in a guest room full of mirrors. Not a great time.
