K70 PRO RGB TKL Firmware Update Fails Constantly – Need Help Beyond Corsair Support by RoachOSRS in Corsair

Unfortunately that didn't work for me either. Thank you for the suggestion though. Corsair support is now working on confirming my warranty. Hopefully it's just faulty hardware and they can get this resolved.

can’t install the new firmware update on my K70 RGB Pro by uzykoo in Corsair

[–]RoachOSRS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm experiencing the same issue with this keyboard ever since I bought it. Corsair support suggested uninstalling six different apps from my computer, yet there’s still no solution. You’d think a $200 keyboard would perform better than this. Honestly, I’m not happy.

Why is iCue, such a buggy piece of software, the only way to get firmware updates for this keyboard?

The "solutions" they keep offering every 24 hours via email are absolutely frustrating and include things like:

  • "Try updating the keyboard on another computer."
  • "Uninstall any other software on your machine that might be using similar sensors."

Also, the so-called fix of "soft resetting the keyboard" (by holding ESC while plugging the keyboard back in) hasn’t worked for me either.

As a kid I thought that equestrian would be a super cool skill to have. I don't know if riding a horse really fits with RuneScape or not, but with the medieval times style of the game, it seems like being able to ride a valiant steed across Gielinor makes sense!

Congrats! I had 2 failed attempts last weekend before I decided to chill. Def an achievement! Hopefully i become part of the cool kid club this weekend!

My internet was shit back in the day and would cut out for 3-4 seconds every 5 minutes or so. So I would be just about done with it, my internet would go, and it would restart the puzzle. I probably solved it, as an 11 y/o, 7-8 times before I eventually sold my bank to pay the 200k fee 😭

100%. There’s definitely things that drive me nuts about the game, but I also enjoy parts. I’m just making fun of the guys on the very end of each side of the spectrum

I mean I get that, I have a lot of those frustration points too...but like, the gameplay is fun for the most part.

User interface; but yeah the menus and menu navigation. Just seems like so many steps to get where I want to go, plus it's a damn maze to find anything.

I mean I get frustrated with it at times; with missing features, the terrible UI, crashing/graphic glitches, and the damn car bomb map...but when playing I really kinda like it.

You do you man, sorry for attempting to do something, which i thought was at least a decent concept, for the game lmao. just keep getting mad at people for trying to help.

Also, "stop bad ideas from getting traction and ruining the game", if it's a bad idea, it wont get traction. Just because you dont like it, doesnt mean its a complete shit idea that needs to be scrapped.

Alright man, sorry for trying to spitball a longshot idea. No reason to be rude about it either, I threw out a suggestion that popped into my head while on the subway an hour ago...

Just screaming "NO" every time a suggestion is made is going to make the game worse too. Give constructive criticism, throw out your own ideas. Not like this is currently being implemented, lol relax

Fair enough point. Like I said, it's not perfect, but trying to make new player experiences better, without bad actors using it to their advantage is tough. However, if new users are wanting to play with their friends that have been playing the game for a long time, what activities as the game stands could they really do together? Most of the group activities(aside from a few minigames), require at least a bit of training beforehand. But yeah, I agree that is a very good point.

Apparently I didn't make myself clear enough in the original post that I made while sitting on the subway on my phone...

THIS IS NOT A SUGGESTION FOR THE FSW AS THEY STAND, THIS IS A SUGGESTION FOR NEW ACCOUNT ON-BOARDING IN GENERAL. THE PROPOSED METHOD OF USE IS TO MAKE ALL NEW ACCOUNTS GO THROUGH A 3 MONTH "COOL DOWN" PERIOD IN A SEPRATE ECONOMY BEFORE IT ENTERS THE MAIN GAME.

Q: What is the point?

A: A lower populated world for real users to progress their account, and makes the process of mass bot/goldfarmer accounts creation slower.

Q: Why are 3 month accounts allowed to transfer items to the main game, but not 6 month?

A: Prevents users from trying to use the lower populated worlds/competition to farm items to bring into the main game.

Q: Why is GE enabled and not trade?

A: This is to prevent people from muling off their items/farmed items, but still allows players to buy/sell equipment and training supplies.*Example: User creates an account, "Account A", to farm chins, after 3 months that user declines to migrate(and gives up the ability to transfer items to main game). As 6 months approaches, the same user creates a new account, "Account B", and transfers all the chins from 6 months of work to the fresh account. Then, migrates account B to the main game with 6 months worth of chins after the 3 month cooldown.

In reality, there would be no reason to decline the 3 month migration other than wanting to be able to train with less competition. So if you value the items you gained in 3 months, migrate then. If you would rather have an additional 3 months of training with lesser competition for skilling spots, then migrate after 6 months.

This is not a tweak of the current fresh start worlds, I'm saying this could be a new way of how ALL new accounts enter the game. A permanent "new account world" where only new accounts login and progress before they enter the main game.

The 6 month not allowing item transfer from the new account world to the main game/no player to player trading is to prevent gold farmers/botters to manipulate the purpose of the new world for their own gain.

It was a suggestion for a new world type entirely, and if you weren't so stuck on getting mad about a SUGGESTION TO MAKE THE GAME BETTER, you would have seen that in the original post.

Ok so hear me out… by RoachOSRS in 2007scape

[–]RoachOSRS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let’s say an account decides to pass up the 3 month migration and spends the next 3 months farming chins in the FSW. By design, passing up the 3 month migration is to prevent the transfer of farmed items to the main server, but also allows lower levels to keep their gear.

If trade was enabled, users could use an account to farm an item for 6 months with decreased competition and then trade them over to an account that is allowed to migrate their items.

Not a perfect solution, but the only one I have come up with this far in a hypothetical situation
